I have seen a few photos of myself lately and i've really hated the look of my skin. It's red and blotchy and looks horrible. How can I fix it? I know I can buy a foundation to cover it up (if anyone can recommend a great one for fair skin, i'm open to suggestions as well original.gif ), but is there any cream I can use to even up my skin tone? TIA! original.gif

Hi, I have skin that is fair/freckly and is prone to a bit of blotchiness so I use Invite high potency vitamin E cream from the chemist. it's in a tube (orange lid i think) and It costs about $11 and i have found it to be great, I even go without makeup sometimes as it has done a great job, especially across my cheeks and chest. biggrin.gif

As for foundation, i used to be revlon colour stay girl, but found it wasn't doing its job anymore so i have found a new favourite and it has alot of natural ingredients so it calms my often blotchy skin. It is Rimmell Stay matte foundation. it has natural ingredients and I am loving it. It stays on all day and the colour is perfect and gives good coverage.

Neither are expensive, so if you tried it and found them not so great for you, you haven't gone overtop with your spending!

good luck! original.gif

Before forking out for products, it might be worth seeing a doctor. My skin was blotchy, I blamed it on pregnancy and put up with it thinking it would get better (it started the first time when I was pg with DS1 and I had antibiotics for it then). When DD had her 6-month needles, I saw the GP and he put me on antibiotics again and told me not to put anything else on it until it clears up, not even sunscreen! It's been about 5 weeks, and it's better than it's been in probably 2 years. When I reach the end of the course of antibiotics, I'll go back and find out what to do to prevent it recurring.
