Agh Monday already!!!! Boo Hoo.

Not alot happening with us. Had a great weekend spending time with H and doing lots of craft. (it rained here all weekend). H is doing great with toilet training. He does most of his wee's in the toilet now and yesterday even did a poo. He was so happy with himself.

Hey lovely ladies... half way through another week with DH away. But it is going okay.

Been trying to be positive... and thinking of the best bits... which got me to thinking. I was walking Macy Moo to Kinder on Tuesday. She was riding her bike and I was pushing Beau along on his bike and the sun was shining. And I had one of those, "This is a moment I dreamed of...." BK (before kids) I had this vision of me walking my kids to school and suddenly there I was in that moment.

Wonder when you find yourselves in those moments? Where you are madly clicking away on your brain camera - saying remember this... remember THIS moment!

I wish I could put moments like that in my pocket

That happens to me a bit, I love it

Sary, yep - know what you mean, makes you really appreciate family at those moments!

I'm back on the computer now, yay, so no more sneaking around at work which I hate doing.

Its my DSs birthday on 24th feb, he is turning 8 ... I really tried to convince him to have his party at a pizza restaurant near us which you can make your own pizzas and they cook them up - but he really wants to have the party at the new house, so now we need to unpack the boxes lol !! Its good in a way, gets us moving to finish off the final things in the house.

Milly had a nice birthday, and then a family party on the weekend so that was fun. Then it was my mums 70th birthday on sunday, and my sis and I bought her a night at crown casino in the hotel which she did last night - OMG you should have seen the photos of the room, it was amazing (mind you for the $$$$ it cost you would hope so). I hope she had a nice night there, if nothing else she and dad will remember the views (and hopefully not the money they lost on the pokies !!).

I'm off to NZ again next week, by myself this time for work for 3 nights - that will be weird being away from milly for so long, but I think she will be fine.

toilet training - wow, thats great that H is doing so well! Milly sits on the toilet, but is yet to do anything on it!! She will still wipe and try and flush though hehe!

Day off today...YAY..

Sary, What a lovely moment for you. I also have "those" moments. Like when H climbs into bed with DH and I of a morning and just lays there so still letting me kiss and cuddle him. I love having little family moments and i too wish i could be in that moment forever.

Ginny, what a great present to your mum.

My parents are coming down this weekend to spend some time with H for his birthday. No doubt they would of bought a car load of presents with them
Anyway best be off. DH has gone to the cricket in Sydney today and H and i have lots to do. Happy friday girls. xx

Sounds like he is going great guns. Beau is showing a bit of an interest... but hasn't done anything on the toilet yet.

Well 5 sleeps till my Mum and Dad arrive and 6 sleeps till Beau's birthday. Unfortunately Macy has come down with a bit of a cold... although you would think she has the plague! Poor thing doesn't cope with pain. Screaming and writhing in pain about her headache and her sore throat. So kept her home today and hoping she will be better by the time that Mum and Dad arrive. Feels like I have a MILLION things to do before then.

Luckily DH got home this afternoon. Although he is crashed out with Beau. Hmmmm not a great time for day sleep but that is another story. (Think we may be dropping some sleeps!! Ahhhh already?!?)

And DH flies out Sunday morning! So I have my DH for one day and on that day we have a friend from Holland we are entertaining all day tomorrow. So life feels very full and very very busy!!!!

Have to get Beau moved into Macy's room. Clear out Beaus room for a double bed. Get the double bed. Organise stuff for a little party we are having for Beau next Saturday afternoon. "Ahhhhhhh... I will survive.... I will survive!"

Been slaaaaack with posting, but thinking of you all

First of all, Megan OMG! i know a certain someone who would be green with envy at that Elmo party! so cute! Jemima's looking so great, really grown up and very cute!

Happy birthday to Coen and Lauren! Hope you guys had a great day. Amanda did you decide what to do with the party and DS1?

Sary good luck with everything this week, just reading your post made me feel tired. It will be so lovely to see your parents though.

Holly did you have fun with your parents? Have you told them about #2 yet? You must be about 12 weeks now?

Ginny where in NZ are you heading for work? The night a Crown sounds lovely. My sis stays there a bit a loves it.


Ohhh, I so love these moments! it's what being a parent is all about. We had one today. DH was out so it was just me and the kids at home. It's been bucketting rain here and DD got an umbrella for her birthday and was playing with it, so I taught her the chorus of 'singing in the rain'. turned around to check tea 5 mins later and discovered her sitting with DS singing it to him. he was just beaming at her and she was being so loving. seeing them together just makes my heart melt.
there were two birth notices in the paper yesterday for babies who didn't make it. i bawled. those poor families. it really is a wake up call to stop stressing about the small stuff and enjoy my kids.

Where's Amanda? i loved that pic of Coen is his sheep nappy. You really should sew a few up Amanda, it wouldn't be too hard and with your creativity they'd be amazing.

Not a lot going on here, still getting over DD's birthday. Hey how do i put a link to a FB album? She's really good ATM, so cheeky though. she's still calling me claire and is obsessed with farting (take a bow, DH). she's growing up so fast / . DS is a joy, so happy and so settled, such a change from those hellish first months. He's 8.2kg now, the same weight as DD when she was 10 months! He's not too far from crawling but not keen on sitting, complete opposite to his big sis. I am getting clucky again, I still feel like there is another child or two missing from our family. We are talking about TTC at the end of the year.

I am so tired! Had a little party yesterday for Coen's birthday, just family. My SIL was over from WA with her new partner - I think she has only seen Coen once before, so that was nice. Here are some pics if anyone is interested... FB photos.

Thank you for the kind words about Mimie's party - I wish I could take credit for the fabulous icing on Elmo, but alas I only baked him and a good family friend iced him for me. I am all about the outsourcing!

I don't have time for a big post. There is a lot I want to say, I need to get it out, but I don't have time right now. Suffice to say I have around 18 hours to get my FUMING FLAMING RED HOT ANGER at my MIL under control and be (fake) nice to her when she turns up to mind Mimie tomorrow. I am SOOOOOOO MAD.

Awwwwwww... got goosebumps. My dear dear friend from my original Mother's Group had her baby this morning. She has 2 boys so far and EVERYONE was so sure this was going to be a boy too. BUT she had a little girl!!!!!!!


So excited for them. Know you don't know her but just wanted to tell someone!

Claire, when did Miss E start calling you Claire? Amazing how they pick up on stuff like that. Very cheeky, but funny too . I loooove her bear cake - what an amazing job you did! Miss E is looking so grown up and pretty (and how cute is Mr Peabody?!!). Love the pics of the two of you on the carousel! Oh and Tom has grown up so much too - he is gorgeous and looks like such a bright little button! SIL had said last year she'd be here for Coen's birthday - I assume she was planning to come over anyway, and thought she'd kill 2 birds with one stone. She very rarely comes to QLD. It was nice of her, and it was great to meet her partner. She bought a pressie for Coen which she'd bought in Canada, which was really nice, but Jordan's birthday is a month before Coen's, and she didn't get him anything .

Sary, that's fantastic that Beau slept through in Macy's room! You must be so excited about your parents arriving tonight!!! How long are they staying for? And I loved looking at your pics - how sweet are Macy and Beau?! I love the pics of you holding them with the sunshine coming in - beautiful! And the pics from the zoo are great too. And wonderful news about your friend's little girl - what a lovely surprise!

Just how excited the kids were about their grandparents coming. How excited both Macy and Beau are about his birthday tomorrow. And ME seeing my parents! Macy drew the most beautiful card for Beau today while he was sleeping and wrote To Beau Happy Birthday Love Macy all by herself!

But geez I am tired. DH being away constantly and the lead up to parents arrival and Beau's birthday has been exhausting.

Well it is 12:22 on a Saturday night (whoops Sumday morning) and Hic!! I have had WAY WAY WAY too much too drink and HIC! I can't sleep because Hic! My hiccups won't let me!

But I guess it is not everyday your little boy turns two and you have your parents in the same statel.... HIC!!! ! I am soooo exhausted but these constant HIc! won't let up!

Had SUCH a wonderful day today and who can I turn to at 12 in the morn with drunken hics and can't sleep but you wonderful girls?

I am a pirate at the moment, typing iwth one eye as I am seeing double!!! Eeeekkk scary! Yes I am that bad... how did this happen? Everyone and I eman everyone is alseep but me... Hic! But I am drunk on happiness, love and tooooooooo much champane!

Is anyone elses dh as daft as mine. I sent him out yesterday to get me some cheese, something really nice to go with the nice bottle of pinot noir I have, I even gave him some names and if he couldn't find them to just get me some camembert.

But you will never believe what he came back with! Cheese stick wedges!! I tasted one, and yep tastes just like those plastic cheese sticks


We are off to hockey sign on today, I'm going to start Talon and hopefully Caden in Minkey. Caden's not 4 til Sept so hopefully they still let him play, he really wants to.

Sary, your post cracked me up too! I am glad you are all having such a great time with your parents! I hope your hiccups have well and truly disappeared by now, but sometimes I find massaging an earlobe helps to get rid of them.

I couldn't believe how full the ward was last night! Normally it is half-full at most on Sunday, but 35 out 44 beds were taken. Bonus was I got to be in charge with no patient load .

I have 5 kids today. 2.4yrs, 2.3yrs, 2yrs, 2yrs, and 7mths......Busy day but all of the two year olds love playing together so thats great. I do however have blue playdough scattered around my backyard.

Oh my goodness Holly, I don't know how you do it! That sounds exhausting!!! I'd love looking after the 7mo though I am super clucky at the moment. Looks like my SIL will be going for egg pick up this week (IVF) - I hope it works out for them. Daresay she'll be pg before me.

I am still just working 2 days a week - Tuesdays and Sundays, both afternoon shifts. I wish I could afford not to work at all, but it's not too bad really. Work has been very busy lately, lots of new surgeons, seem to all be doing major back surgery.

Hey girls!

Been a pretty sad day saying goodbye to M&D. Been soooooooo great seeing them. Beau has a new shiny golden god in the name of "Grandad". He completely lost interest in both DH and I and just wanted "Grannnnddddaaaadddd" All the time!

Even at night saying, "I want to sleep in Grandad's bed!"

I told him this morning that Grandma and Grandad had to go home. And Beau said, "NO I WANT GRANDAD!"

Macy keeps coming and giving me big cuddles and saying sweet things like, "Dry those tears Mummy - you will see Grandma and Grandad soon." When did the roles reverse??

Yessss Holly had a super duper hang over on Sunday... and realise why I don't drink often! That does sound super busy with the kids you have there!
