Can someone tell me, if I'm goign for a different colour for a handbag - ie not brown or black, what would you choose, with the autumn, winter in mind.

Such things have never really phased me before - having another child has left me feeling incredibly frumpy and dithery. A new handbag in a relatively funky colour might help biggrin.gif

Ta everso.

DD15 wanted me to buy her a gorgeous green floral one by Cellini(think that's the right spelling) yesterday. I wasn't just going to buy her a bag for around $200, so she might get it for her 16th in february.

How about red?

You sound a little like me, I have a classical Oroton brown leather bag which I have had for the last five years. Really need to update but I am not in the right space to go shopping for myself at the moment.

Have fun choosing.

Thanks ladies - I have a red bag (sort of Hermes/Kelly bag) that I've loved for about 15 years (yes, I'm that old)... but I really really can't bring it out anymore, very beaten up. My current is a tan one - which was also a "go on, be daring" purchase!!

Was looking at both red and green today, so there you go. I was looking at Oroton on ebay too - someone sells what I suspect are seconds, but they still cost a fortune (and everything looks worse in dollars to a UK gal).

BTW, EM, love your slogan biggrin.gif

and Goody - loved seeing your cross-out/good news from the end of last year. She must be very special.

Oroton have fantastic sales so I would try to buy direct.
Perhaps something like this?

If you are near an Oroton store they will often have random further 50% off sale stock making many of them $150 or thereabouts.

My two favs are a Guess bag in cream & green (my 'nappy' bag for when I have both girls or if it looks like rain since it is synthetic) and an Oroton in tan. These days they are the only two I use.

Orange.

I wear lots of neutral colours (black, brown, creams and whites) and I had a pair of orange shoes which just funked it up. Now that they've died I'm obsessed with getting an orange handbag.
If you're in Sydney, Yoshi Jones (on King St Newtown or Paddington) have great bags- also gorgeous ones in kimono silks.

I currently have a gorgeous yellow and grey floral one by Fossil. Will try and find a pick. Biggish with 4 pockets so good for out and about with kids.

I also have red. Love red original.gif .

Orange is great too. Purple. I love colours over neutrals original.gif .

Heres a link: The exact one I have is not here but it's similar in colour to the first three yellow/grey printed bags:

I have a few that I use reguarly, a black one, a winter white one and a pink one - the colour of pink ballet shoes. The pink one looks great with every colour, it is by Money Penny.

I love black handbags however last year I bought a cream one which I use alot more than I expected in summer and winter. Just a thought otherwise red or a lush emerald green would be my pick however a good red is often hard to find. I agree with thought to check oroton or perhaps DJ

happy handbag shopping must add I love handbags original.gif and have treated myself each time post birth with a nice one given its an instant pick me up whilst nothing else in wardrobe department seems to work biggrin.gif

purple is really popular atm...the deep grape colour..i love it.

but i find colours are difficult to match clothes.

I am so in love with new Coach bag. It's the style where it has 2 short carry handles and long shoulder strap so I can carry in loads of diff ways.

I also have another Coach bag with a long shoudler strap to wear across the body which can be shorten to a chic bag for the evenings. This one was only $90 from outlet store in US. I think min $400 in Oz.
