Hi, I am trying to find a nice "mummy" look sholder bag to ber used as a hand bag.

will have to carry:

Purse, iphone, diary, panadol, child info. medication for me.

what bag would you get for this?

size isn't a issue as long I can get the above in it and find things when needed. Shoulder strap I would love to be longer then 70cm/27.5' inchs.

colour blue/black or a nice darkish colour that will blend with clothes and not get dirty with 2 yound boys. grin.gif

where to buy them also. Doesn't have to be a brand name. but also under $50 as DH would kill me if it was to much $$

I got a handbag for chrissy, 1 that I could fit all the baby stuff in after moving out of the nappy bag. It is from Strand Bags and the brand is Blue Bird, they actually had quite a few really nice ones. I think mine was around $60.

thanks -bellygirl-, I will have a look at them tomorrow as we are going shopping grin.gif

I really love the latest style with a long shoulder strap and 2 shorter shoulder straps. You can carry it in so many different way. Across your body, elbow, on shoulders or just holding the 2 shorter straps.

Try Myer and DJs, they have a sale atm. There are some nice bags for around $50...I particularly like the Jag ones.

I got loads of handbags for my b'day recently in US. It's so much cheaper than Oz. I went nuts in COACH. completely in love with my bags. I think COACH has the nicest collection of bags.

I don't have a Myer or a DJ here. i only have a BigW and a Kmart rolleyes.gif so very limited to what I can get sad.gif

baby mels handbags, i will have a look for them now on Ebay. thanks for that original.gif

I recommend the Bluebird ones as well, I have had one for a while and it still looks good (I think it was around $40).
