Hi Ladies

Urs: I am due 10th of May.

J: Too early I think. Try Saturday and have a glas sof wine- put it out of your mind and relax. It will happen hun!

Hayles: I hope you can sort it out with your DH. Hope the counselling goes well.

Issy: I think the peak has hit and now they are starting to dry up. Poor little thing. I was in tears for her yesterday. I have a doc app at 12 today as I have spots on my arms and just want to make sure I haven't picked up a mild dose of it. From what I have gathered, I am immune according to my blood test and because I have had them before so perhaps something has bitten me. Not sure.

Issy isn't really itching as I am giving her a pinetasil bath a couple of times a a day and applying an antiseptic cream so haven't really seen her itch. She looks at the spots like they are disgusting so I honestly think she doesn't want to touch them!

My MIL tried to tell me yesterday that we must have picked them up somewhere else and that it is just a coincidence that they appeared in the injection spot first and straight away. Made me livid!

Shell: Hope you are okay and I am thinking of you also.

Okay better run and get ready. Be back later .

Good Morning Girls wink.gif

Urs - Good to hear that you have been having fun at the van (apart from DH's whinging). I think this clinginess thing, is definitely something in the air. Because Amelia is still like it, and I know that Armahni is like it too glare.gif Have you heard anything on the job front yet?

Us - Amelia slept pretty good in her new bed last night. She fell asleep at about 8.30pm and woke up screaming at 2am. She was just sitting there crying, so we think she might of woke up and got a little confused. Hopefully she will sleep better tonight, after having slept in the bed today. Harrison is so cheery this morning, he has not stopped smiling at me and blowing raspberries wub.gif I have my cousin, who is a hairdresser, coming over today to do my hair. I am going blonde again, and getting my hair thinned out before the baptism on Sunday. I am growing my hair back out again - so it's all ratty and yuck! So I will feel a lot better after she is done wink.gif

Anyway, that's about all from me, for now.

Will probably be back a bit later waves.gif

Hi all,

Me: Thanks guys! I think I just got caught in the moment (little obsessed blush.gif ). Funny though today I feel nothing totally normal LOL We will just have to wait and see.

Eli: Is sleeping in his toddler bed wub.gif We just converted his cot. I was hesitant to do it ffear.gif but DH insisted that it should be done before he starts at his new daycare. So he is sleeping away right now. He cried a little bit and figured he could get out straight away but we put a baby gate on his door (1/2 price at Target at the moment).

Bec: Glad Issy's spots seem to be drying up. Good luck at the DRs.

Hayls: Wow very proud of Millie and her big girl bed cclap.gif Is it a real single bed?? I hope you and DH can sort stuff out fingers crossed for you.

Urs: Have a lovely holiday. I would love to have a van to go away too yyes.gif

mumtomakandissy
Hi Everyone

Well I do have a mild, very mild case of chicken pox. sad.gif My doctor is away so I saw another fantastic doctor who is basically an ob aswell. He double checked my immunity and I am supposedly immune but because Isobel has such a bad or severe strain of it then I have obviously picked up a bit. Good news is that its not harmful to bub unless I am in the first 12 weeks or the last 2-3 weeks. I don't feel sick, no fever just spots on my arms so fingers crossed that's it.

All these babies in beds! J: I saw the gates at Target today. I ducked in quickly before the doctor to buy some baby things. They had a massive sale on. I got both girls some cute Mary Jane shoes, DH a tshirt, me a dress, a cardigan and three tshirts and about 6 gorgeous little jump suits all for under $100! Could have shopped all day! Didn't get a gate though even though we need another because I couldn't carry it but will have to send DH back in. I think they were only 40 something dollars. I need one to stop Issy getting into Mak's room!

Well better go, I am very tired after today. And I have just spotted a pox on Mak! sad.gif sad.gif I am in for some fun holidays!
sun_kissed
Bec: they were only $44 so we bought two. I also bought Eli a Elmo potty for when we toilet train, 2 drink bottles and I bought 2 dresses roll2.gif roll2.gif (had a ball even with DH there watching me spend). We have a wedding in a month so I bought two dresses one if I am pg and one if I am not. So so so cheap they were both orginally over $60 and I got them for $20 each.

Still feel normal today ddown.gif

p.s. Eli went down great in his big boy bed cclap.gif xoxo
mumtomakandissy
J: They had beautiful dresses. I got a green and black silky one for a wedding we have in March however although my belly sits nicely in it my boobs are too big! Oh well . It was $20 so I might keep it for after and take it in a bit when I lose my pregnancy weight! For $20 I am not taking it back!
Wish I didn't have any spots on my arms or I would be back in there today spending up!

Issy's spots are drying up but now she is getting them on her neck and face! We had a rough night last night, with hardly any sleep because she is so sore. Even with the baths and creams its not giving her much relief! I have woken up with a cold because I am getting run down I think!

DH and I are discussing names ( both sexes not to give anything away). If it's a girl we love Ruby, and for a boy either Oliver or Finn ( my favourite). So would be Mak, Isobel and Ruby or Mak, Isobel and Finn or Oliver which I think all go together.

Anyway better go. Poor Mak is soo bored from being cooped up with us so DH is going to finish work early and take her into town to the pool for a couple of hours. Also pick up the dishwasher whilst he is there ( thank heavens) and bring some dinner home. I don't know what I would do without him today!

Hello girls

Wow what a journey – we did very well every day and Yasmin was really good. She only slept for about 1 hour in the car because you can feel every bump in hubby’s car so it wouldn’t have been comfortable for her to sleep but you know she handled it so well for a baby used to getting 2.5hrs sleep during the day to only having 45mins to an hour at most. I think she just thought it was an adventure and each day when we got to our new accommodation she just shrilled with delight and the new stuff she could find around each cabin. The weather was great too – no rain to contend with. Arrived in Cairns yesterday at about 4pm by the time we found our apartments and checked in etc. Cairns weather is being kind to us at the moment – no rain and not too humid. It was very hard in the cabins as Yasmin got cold easily with the fans and aircond and hubby got hot easily so I didn’t get too good a sleeps so when we arrived at our apartment we were welcomed with split system air-cond & king sized bed and was able to set the temp to a comfortable temp for all and what a great night sleep we all had last night. Supermarket visit this morning to stock up and now Yasmin is back in bed for hopefully a nice long day sleep (fingers crossed as she may have got used to short sleeps!!)
So thats it for me so far – this is just a me post because they charge a fortune for internet access in the apartments so we are going to look for the library today and we can hopefully check in there once a day for house hunting etc.
Cairns so far reminds me of Adelaide – very much set up like Adelaide city centre and its really funny to be back into traffic lights everywhere (so used to rounabouts).
Sorry for the me post today – but just thought I would let you all know that we are safe and sound and once we have found a cheaper place to use the net or the library you may hear from me a bit more often.
Hope everyone is well and I’ll be back at a later date.
Take care
Helen

Hi Ladies wink.gif

Helen - Fantastic to hear that you got to Cairns safely biggrin.gif Hopefully you will find a house nice and quick. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Bec
- Oh No sad.gif You poor thing. How has Mak been? Anymore spots? I love the names you have picked wub.gif I love Oliver (nn. Olly), but I knew a not-so-nice girl who had used the name before me, so didn't want to use it. And of course I loooove Ruby - being Millie's middle name and all wub.gif I really really want to try and organise a catch up before Bubs is born - even if its just you and me???

J - Sooooo......did you test again today????? I have been thinking of you all day laughing2.gif And once again, MASSIVE congratulations to you and your Dad (and family) - such great news eexcite.gif

Beds - We have bought Amelia a proper bed. It's actually a King Single - as I thought she would probably be in it until she's a teenager. She absolutely loves it wub.gif She has been sleeping in it for 3 nights now. The 2nd night, she slept from 8.30pm - 5.30am and waited for us to come in and get her up - and last night she slept from 8.30pm - 6.30am and the only reason I knew she had woken up, was because she had got herself up and walked up the hallway into our bedroom wub.gif

Us - Have had a huge day! Went shopping this morning to buy all of the food for the baptism tomorrow - I stupidly decided to cook all of the food huh.gif Raced home to have lunch. and then cooked all of the food from 2pm until 7pm! Am exhausted. Amelia is saying "proper" words and phrases all the time now - some of which she seems to have just picked up by listening to us. The cutest thing by far though, is that she has started saying "I love you" and then she gives you a hug/kiss. Harrison is just gorgeous, but having a lot of trouble with his teeth sad.gif So all I can hope for, is that he gets them all as quickly as Millie did.

Anyway, want to try and get to bed and have some "time" with DH.

Hey all,
Yep did test again BFN.gif Oh well at least we get to have more fun trying LOL
On the downside I have not put on weight because I am pregnant, I have put on weight because I am fat ddoh.gif

cry1.gif Just had a cry. Eli is trialing his new daycare today. Just going for a couple of hours. Its such a lovely centre however I burst into tears twice. I need to win the lotto so I can be a stay at home Mum!
mumtomakandissy
J: Poor you! Its so hard leaving them isn't it?

Hayles: So jelous of Amelia's sleeping. Since getting the chicken pox Isobel has started sleeping badly again. I am so over it. I am really angry today at DH's parents who as I have said before, never lift a finger to help. Poor Mak has missed swimming lessons and everything else I had organised for her in the holidays because MIL never bothers to think that perhaps it would be nice if she looked after Issy for a few hours for me so I could take Mak to things.

I just had a huge blow up at DH too. I am seriously so over this place, but feel stuck here because of the farm and my job. DH makes no effort for us to get out and about and get involved in things and wonders why I am usually unhappy and miserable.

Anyway I won't go on. I have said it a thousand times before and it just keeps continuing. I told DH to go to his parents for his lunch break today because I am so angry I don't even want to look at him. And you know what the way I feel ,I couldn't give two hoots.

Okay BBL when in a better mood.!

Hello again everyone
Just an update of things – sorry for not doing any personals but I’m just skimming posts as I’m typing this off line and then when we go online I copy and paste. Just a bit of time up my sleeve as we have just got back from our first day of looking at some rentals – no luck yet but we have pinpointed the 2 areas we want to live in which is Kanimbla Heights or Brinsmead – both lovely new areas and very safe to live in which is paramount. As they are good areas its hard to find houses but we have found short term accommodation for $400 per week that will accept dogs so we are going to have a look at that tomorrow so we don’t have to rush into a rental just for the sake of it.
We had a good response for renting of our house – I think there are 3 or 4 applications in with very good feedback so at this stage if the short term accommodation is okay I will only be back home for 1 week to finalize everything and off again.
The weather so far has been beautiful – yes humid but can handle it because we are in and out of air-conditioning so you get to cool down anyway. Yasmin is still enjoying herself and just thinks this its wonderful and jumps at the chance of going out (such a little social butterfly she is!). I bought her some floaties for the pool and a rubber ring which she won’t leave alone even in the apartment watching cartoons – so cute. Think tomorrow we will spend some time in the pool so she is not just stuck in a car all the time and since we have pinpointed the areas we want we will just have to wait for houses to view.
Thats about it for us – talked to a lot of people about Cairns to get the pros & cons and all have given us both but all have also commented that the pros outweigh the cons so looking good. One big plus is the warm weather which they say is fantastic 9mths of the year so I’m happy with that. There are lots of water playgrounds here for kids and the beautiful big lagoon in town for swimming and apparently they have just had approval for a huge water park similar to the Gold Coast here – all positive signs for raising a family here.
Might take a walk to the library tomorrow while Yasmin is sleeping to use their computers or might even go to a McDonalds and take my laptop and enjoy a nice coffee using their free internet connection to spend some time catching up on everyone elses news!!! – will see.

Helen
MrsHayley
Hi Girls wink.gif

Helen - All sounding good for you guys cclap.gif Am so happy for you. Amelia hates her floaties, in fact, she hates anything that might help her in the water laughing2.gif

Bec - Sorry to hear about all that crap sad.gif You don't need to deal with anymore of that stuff. How have things been with DH since? How are your gorgeous girls today?

J - Sorry to hear about your BFN. How long did it take you to get pg with Eli? How is your Dad going? Amelia should be doing her Day Care orientation next week, and I will be very interested to see how I handle it blush.gif

Us - Harrison's baptism went really well, on Sunday. It was beautiful, and he was so well behaved. Although, at the party afterwards, he slept through pretty much the whole afternoon laughing2.gif Amelia is going great, and still sleeping beautifully in her bed. I went to my GP this morning, and got a referral for a marriage counsellor - so hopefully we won't have to wait too long to get an appt.

Anyway, that's about it from me. Might go and have a lie down while the kids are asleep yyawn.gif
mumtomakandissy
Hi everyone

Helen - Sounds like you are going to love it up there! Very cute about Yas!

Hayles: DH and I are fine. I am just so hormonal. I need to stop being so sensitive too. DH and I always have great chats and we were talking yesterday. I am not angry at him for anything, I love him to bits and he is a wonderful husband and dad. I am just down about myself I think. I use to be a really social person and since moving here, have found it very isolating and clicky which has affected my self esteem and only I can fix that! So trying to put a few things in place this year. I haven't even had the confidence to go to playgroup as yet but might start that on a Thursday and see how I go. I just get visions of no one talking to me, as has happened in the past. Like DH pointed out though, its not me its how people in small towns are. Particulary this one.

Mak and Issy are great today. Issy seems to be back to her old self. The spots are drying up so there is a trail of dry skin around the house which I am constantly following to pick up! aannoyed.gif but she did sleep a bit better last night. She also had a 2 hour sleep today which she never usually does. I am getting quite stern about the bedtime routine though otherwise I will be crazy when this bub arrives!

Okay better go. Am in a cleaning mood so best make the most of it I think!

Hi to everyone else.

TrickyRicky
Hi Girls,

Well we had a tops time camping, we ended up staying 3nights the weather was perfect and the boys just had so much fun. I have come home for the day to get Ricky's DS card fixed then going back to the van, its now on the market for sale. On the way back from the markets casey fell asleep in the car, so once he wakes we will go back up. DH has taken Ricky to Putt Putt and Fishing today, about time he does something with him.

Totally exhausted..Was setting up my class room today for another school year. Very excited hoping this year will be a positive one biggrin.gif

Eli totally loves his new Day care I am so so so happy I changed him. The centre is so welcoming and warm. They have great activities and at the end of each day put up digital photos so you can see what they did during the day. Lovely original.gif

He is talking so much now its crazy he is even making some sentences (only I can understand though). Like "Daddy go work", "Open door" etc.

AF due tomorrow we will wait and see cool.gif

URs: Good luck Job hunting hands.gif

BEc: So Glad Issy is better!

Hel: Sounds like you guys are having a great time in Cairns

Hi Girls biggrin.gif

Exciting news......I have just booked flights to Brisbane for my 30th eexcite.gif We are flying up on the 17th June and coming back on the 20th (my birthday). We are staying with a very good friend of my family's - and she is one of Harrison's godmothers. I am soooooooooooo excited biggrin.gif

J
- YAY to setting up your new classroom. What grade are you teaching this year? Did you get AF?????? Amelia is saying a lot more "sentences" too - this morning she said to me "What are you doing?" wub.gif

Urs - Sorry to hear that you still haven't heard from the jobs sad.gif Some people are useless! Glad to hear that you had a good time camping, you deserve to have a fun time wink.gif

Bec - Good to hear that everything got sorted through with your DH. And that Issy is getting back to her normal self biggrin.gif Amelia had her immunisation yesterday - and so far so good.

Us
- All going good here biggrin.gif Got an appt with a marriage counsellor/pychologist for the 3rd of Feb, so thankfully not too long to wait. As I said to Bec, the kids had their immunisations yesterday. Harrison has been a little unsettled since, but nothing I can't handle. Amelia seems to be her normal self.

That's about it, for now. A bit of a warm day today, so am planning to spend some time with Amelia under the pergola doing some painting, and playing with her water table.

Hi girls

Just a quickie - very tired at the moment trying to relocate. Its bloody hard work not being connected to the internet full time to look for things. Also DH lost his phone so now we have that drama to deal with new sim on its way.

All okay apart from that but no rentals in sight which is very frustrating. Anyway I am about to be logged off this computer. Just wanted to say hi and we are ok.

Yasmin is continuing to push herself off furniture and walls to walk - its weird you turn around and there she is walking behind you. She is progressing so thats fine.

Okay will be back when I get another chance\

Take care

Afternoon all , Well i am an Aunty again after my SIL had a Emergancy C/S after more then 48 hrs of labour poor girl all i know is that it a babyboy.gif don't know details yet going to visit them Saturday hopefully. in other news not much happening around here did a party last Friday and have another one saturday and decided since i had only the young 2 at home last Saturday i would take them on the train to the aqurium it was great i love the peniguins and Millie and liam like the sharks by the end of the day Liam was tired it was 6pm by the time we got home. I'm thinking of taking all the kids to the zoo or something not sure yet. so hopefully with the few parties i have inthe next few weeks. We can get a few things paid off with the money.

Liam is going well he has i bit of heat rash but it doesn't seem to bother him to much he is starting to say a few things his fave thing to say is 'she hit mee' lol even if itt him that hit his sisters. I am also having more trouble getting him to have his nap it getting later and later atm it about 2pm his going down and that wont last long cause when school returns he wont have a sleep at all if he doesn't go down earlier i was thinking i could get him up at 6am but not sure how i would cope getting up before the birds laughing2.gif .

Hayley~ Saw the photos of Harrison he looks so much like Millie they could be twins and OMG Millie looks so grown up she looking like a little girl instead of a toddlar, it great you been able to get into the counseller so quicky i sure it will help.

Helen~ What a bugger about your hubby phone i was just saying to a friend how much we rely on our Mobile phones. I hope a suitable property shows up soon, well done on being able to rent your own property so quickly.

Hi guys,
Hayls and Em: No AF today and another BFN.gif but cramping so I am late but it should be coming soon.
I feel as though next month it is... Thinking about going on a pre- conception/pregnancy health kick start it all properly.

Any tricks on making a babygirl.gif ??

Have to go back to real work tomorrow, meetings and seminars ewww!
Love how I have set up my room though so thats a plus.

ph34r.gif Where are all my friends??? ph34r.gif

Work today.... Eli had the biggest tantrum in history he was so upset he went to bed without dinner(think he was tired he was home with DH all day and didn't have a sleep)....and still no AF and yes another BFN this is starting to get weird.
mumtomakandissy
Hi Ladies

J: Funny about no AF but a negative test. Did you go off the pill recently? Sometimes that can interfere I think. Hopefully you get one or the other over the next few days to put your mind at ease. Hope work was good.

As for making a girl, I have heard that the position you DTD in can affect the outcome but not 100% sure. Apparently ( and this is TMI) if you do it missionary style, it can increase the chances of a girl and if you do it you on top it increases the chances of a boy??? I probably have that all wrong.

Em: Congrats on becoming an aunty again. 48 hours? Poor woman. I can't believe they let some ladies go through labour for that long.

Helen: Hope all is going well up in Cairns. Good luck with the house hunting.

Urs: Hope your trip to the van went well and you are refreshed and relaxed. Any news on the job front?

Hayles: Exciting about your trip to QLD! Hope the counselling is going well. We need a holiday this year but are going to take smaller trips instead as we are on a saving mission. DH and I watched a few reno shows lately and we are very keen to reno this place so the plan is to gather some ideas, save and then when I go back to work next year we will get stuck into it. Can't wait. Its had a few renovations but MIL taste is not quite to our liking IYKWIM. We are renovating the nursery at the moment though. And just found out a painter can fix the cracks etc instead of plastering the whole room which will save a fair bit!

Okay well better run. DH got up to Issy last night for me and she woke a few times so he is having a snooze now and so is Issy. Mak and I are about to do a whole heap of baking to freeze for school lunches! I think I have hot the organisation/ nesting stage of this pregnancy!

Hi to everyone else, who are we missing????
sun_kissed
AF turned up today. sad.gif about feeling like crap but original.gif about trying again.

This is going to sound very very silly. Missionary is that man on top? and are your legs bent or lying flat on the bed LOL

J~ for making girls they say you should BD two day before and 2 days after Oing but not on the day you O also try not to orgasm(TMI) as girl sperm are long distance runner as the boys are sprinters wink.gif .

Bec~ she choose to go that long very determined to go natural.
