GOLD GOLD GOLD - Merry Christmas all original.gif
mygorgeousboy
Silver......................

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We had a great day here. H got totoally spoilt from my parents and he has an absolute ball with his new toys. My parents are still here and DH and I are going back to their house on the coast for a week after New Years....

Amanda, nice to hear from you again. Missed your posts and i have been wondering how your cycle is going. I am always forgetting what CD i am up to and was needing you to tell me yours. blush.gif

As for me.....i think i may have a BFP...... shrug.gif

I know it sounds weird that i don't really know but i am 3 days late for AF (this never happens) and have tested numerous time all with a slight 2nd line but not dark enough for me to be jumping around IYKWIM??? Anyway might test with a FR tomorrow ( i have been using internet cheapies) so i have everything crossed it truly is a BFP..... DH and i are trying really hard not to get our hopes up just incase AF shows up.
ANyway will keep you all posted. My Dr is away till the 11th ( and so are we) so if AF hasn't showed up then i will go straight to the doctors to get some blood tests. Is it bad that i am leaving it that long?

Time to go and entertain the folks.......... xx:)
tortagianduia
Bronze for me! xmas_happy.gif

Oooh, Holly, I will be keeping everything crossed for a BFP for you hands.gif! Sounds promising!!!
tortagianduia
Have you tested, Holly? xmas_ninja.gif
babybump2
Hey Girls! waves.gif Merry Christmas!! xmas_laugh.gif

We had a magical time at Wilson Promotory! Wombats and Possums around our tent at night time. Rosella landing on our shoulders during the day. Squeaky Beach where the sand literally squeaks when you walk on it. Whale rock and rocky moutains in the Australian bushland... was so wonderful!

And then we home just in time for Santa! Kids were very lucky... and were very spoilt by Grandmas, Grandads, Uncle and Aunties.

We have been having some nice chilled out home time now too.

Ooooooooooohhhhhh Holly! How exciting!!!! Yay yay!

Amanda - great to see you back. I look forward to seeing snaps of Coen on the blog.

A quick hello as off to do dinner, bath bed etc.

Just a pop in and hello! Hope everyone is enjoying the quiet Christmas time! xxx

tortagianduia
Back to xmas_ninja.gif again to see if you decided to retest with a FR, Holly wwhistle.gif. I am hands.gif it will be good news for you!!!

Sary, glad to have you back. Your trip away sounds amazing!!! Photos please!

I have been a bit of a blog hog... Have now posted Coen's Santa pic over there.

waves.gif to everyone!
tortagianduia
Blogging my life away... on my own blog this time. Have updated with 4 new posts for December xmas_biggrin.gif.

Poor Coen has been sick xmas_sad.gif. He started vomiting last night, and has vomited more today. The only things he is keeping down are water and breast milk. Hopefully he'll feel better tomorrow.

What has everyone planned for NYE?
mygorgeousboy
Sorry Amanda have been travelling back to my parents house all day and haven't had a chance to get on the net.

I tested with another cheapie and two lines came up, not staight away but before the time limit. Still no sign of AF. DH unfortunatly had to stay at home to work over NYE and will be here on the 1st so if i can i will be waiting for him to get here before i test. I just want to give it a few more days if i can hold out that long. xmas_tongue.gif

I haven't said anything to anyone just don't want to jinx it just yet. Do you think a FR is the most accurate test??

ANyway off to bed. Sleeping with H tonight. Should be interesting. He is a major bed hog xmas_biggrin.gif

Night night xx
tortagianduia
FR or Confirm are both really good tests. I usually get FR. You have more will power than me, Holly! Keeping everything crossed here for you.
moo~tickle
fingers crossed holly original.gif will be back when not holding a squirming bub
claireabell
Holly!!! Hope this is it for you! will check back as soon as i can.

in the meantime i have just snuck off to the internet cafe while the babies (and DH rolleyes.gif ) are sleeping.

my bloody FIL fed my three month old ice-cream. OM*G i am still fuming (it happened on xmas day). he's been saying 'he's ready for some ice-cream on a spoon', and i've been telling him no, he's only three months and won't be starting solids until he's 6 months. but as soon as i turn my back he ****ing feeds it to him. girls i nearly killed him. DH's gran saw and told me, and i flew across the room and had a go at him (in front of everyone in DH's family, it was xmas day) and he just rolled his eyes at me. major sh*tfight ensued. he always does stuff like this. i really feel he's just trying to prove a point. he always accuses me of being an overprotective mum (or mean mummy as he likes to call me) and encourages E to go outside without her hat and suncren right after i've told her to put it on bcause 'she's a soft Aussie and needs to toughen up'. so furious with him. DH has had enough too.not sure what to do... he's so pig-headed. i'm not the only one that cops it, he's always telling me how SIL's son (8 months) is a crap sleeper because SIL - his own daughter - is too uptight. gaaaahhhhh. i've been a b**ch and kept DD and DS away from him, which is prob only aggravating the situation, but i don't trust him.

anyway, sorry for the vent. ggrrrrrrrr. will come back soon with a less cranky post.
RedsGirl
Oh Claire, I can relate... here's my story. MIL gave Mimie a taste of her sparkling wine on Xmas day. It was just the three of us at the table, Mimie in her chair next to Nonna, me across the table. I had my back turned, and as I turned to face them MIL was dipping her finger in her glass and she glanced at me (guiltily I think, to see if I saw what she was doing) and I said very clearly "please don't give her alcohol" and she proceeded to put her finger in Mimie's mouth. FFS it wasn't like I caught her after and then said it, I said it BEFORE and she still did it. Then there was FIL threatening to smack her bottom (we are not into smacking) and was also going to give her some of MILs booze and coffee soaked tiramisu. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. She's not even 2 people!!!!

I still can't believe she did it. If I was in grabbing distance, man I would have grabbed her hand and.... well we don't need to go into that. How dare she. Red knows and has said he will talk to her. I don't care what they did in her day, it is NOT OK to give a baby alcohol!

So, I can completely understand. I'd be angry too. Sometimes its not what they've done, but the fact you've explicitly said no and asked them not to and your wishes get completely ignored, right under your freaking nose! Please know that not all us Kiwis act like that wink.gif

I will be back to write more. At work, so better earn my keep.

Holly - I am also ph34r.gif It all sounds good, so very much hoping it is in fact good news!!!
tortagianduia
Claire, I'd be so annoyed about anyone feeding my 3mo icecream too nno2.gif, especially after you have made it quite clear you don't plan to start Tom on solids for another 3 months, and obviously even then would not be feeding him icecream glare.gif. And encouraging Miss E to go outside without any sun protection will not 'toughen her up' it will just cause skin damage. So so wrong when you have very good reasons for doing things a certain way, and your wishes get completely ignored. Are you staying with your FIL? That must be very difficult if so.

Megan, I can't believe your MILs gave Mimie alcohol xmas_eek.gif !!! And I definitely don't think your FIL should be threatening to smack her. Will she still be getting cared for by them one day a week next year?

My MIL used to ask could Coen have this or that when he was too young - like wanting to give him a bread crust when he hadn't started solids, wanting to give him lollies when he was under a year old, but she always asked and when I said no didn't proceed to do it anyway, so it wasn't an issue, thankfully.

Holly, did you retest today?!!?

Coen's tummy seems to have settled and he hasn't vomited today.

I am on CD33 (10 days after when I ovulated last cycle), and still no sign of impending ovulation. So frustrating. I think maybe it is the stress of Christmas shrug.gif.
mygorgeousboy
I was strong girls and didn't test today. Its hard being away from DH and he really wants ot be here when i test so i'll see how i go tomrrow... wink.gif

Claire, OMG i would be furious. I hate when other people over step the mark with your children. You have ever right to be peeved....Did he also try and feed Miss E some icescarem before she started solids?? I think i remember something happening when he stayed in Aus with you. Anyway whats the obsession with feeding babies solids??? rolleyes.gif

Megan, ....What can i say...alcohol..?????Thats terrible. How rude to do it after you asked her not too.

I love my parents dearly and trust them 100% with Hudson but i am so sick and tired of them both offering him their food. Today H woke and ate breakfast. 20 mins later my mum is feeding him her toast then 5 mins after that my dad is sharing a banana with him...The poor kid would of been so full and then all day they proceed to shove food down his throat. I also caught my Dad offereing him some soft drink out of his own glass...Luckily before H had any i told my dad "No way, blah blah blah" and of course he apologised and didn't give him any, but still.......Bloody hell people they are our children...Back off sometimes.....Vent over!!!

Amanda, here's hoping your still in with a chance this month. And poor little Coen...H had gastro a few months back and its just awful. sad.gif

Sary, your camping trip sounds great. Photos please !!!Although being at my parents i can't check the blog, but hoping there are pics there when i get back.

Brooke, hope your enjoying your holidays with your bubbas before you go back to work. Any before and after pics of your new bod......?

Anyway off to bed. Still miserable weather here so who knows what we can do tomorrow. Will be back to let you know if i test... Night x Thx for all of the well wishes xxxx

Yup, that's exactly like i feel. i am super peeved about the whole ice-cream but it is more that i asked him not to and he did it anyway. he's always trying to undermine me. and yes, i know not all kiwis are like that, some of my fave people are kiwi wink.gif

sounds like our in-laws have ben to the same school of 'in-lawing'! i can't believe they gave Mimie alcohol sad.gif

Amanda yup we're staying with him... he's gone away for the night though so it's a good break for us. fingers crossed you O soon, how frustrating... i have 101 Qs to ask you about your ice-cream maker too, DH got me one for xmas! will ask when i get back to Aus and have more time though.

Holly you are so strong not to test! it sounds very promosing though doesn't it. yay!

gotta go, back soon!

Liz27
Sorry it's late, but Merry Christmas everyone.

Holly, oohhh how exciting. You are being very strong holding out, I really hope that this is your BFP.

Amanda, sorry to hear that Coen has been sick. DS1 was not well over Christmas, not really sure what was wrong with him, but all he wanted to do was sleep all Christmas day and wasn't interested in his presents at all. I was so disappointed as I was really looking forward to Christmas this year with DS1 starting to understand, but I guess next year will be even better, as they will really know what is going on.

Claire, OMG with FIL feeding your DS ice cream. He is only 3 months old!!!! I can't believe people are so quick to try and shove food in the mouths of little babies.

Megan, I can't believe your MIL gave DD alcohol. That is just insane. I was getting annoyed with my MIL trying to offer DS1 chocolate and lollies at 10pm on Christmas Eve when he clearly didn't want any, but even if he had, 10pm is not the time for it.

Going well here, Alex is getting much better, he is super smiley most of the time, but can change in a split second to absolutely screaming. Guess he got his mummy's temperament then original.gif Lachie is going well too, his speech is coming along in leaps and bounds and he loves to try and copy everything he hears and sees. We had the cricket on the TV the other day and he decided to start trying to "bowl" like they do. It was super cute.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and I hope 2010 is a great year for everyone.
tortagianduia
Evening girls!

Holly, you are doing well to hold out, and I think it will be better to test when your DH is there. If AF hasn't shown up yet and is late, then it sounds like a BFP.gif to me ddance.gif!!! Can't wait to hear the official news though. Sooo excited for you here - what a lovely way to start the new year!

Claire, enjoy your break away from your FIL. I don't really understand what he is trying to achieve with his whole 'mean mummy' thing huh.gif - I am sure he loves his grandchildren, in which case staying on your good side and respecting your wishes would seem a sensible tactic. Maybe your DH needs to have a talk to him. Woohoo on the ice-cream maker - great pressie!

Liz, I'm sorry to hear your DS1 was sick for Christmas; I can understand you'd be disappointed. His birthday's not too far away - hopefully he'll have a great day for that! Is Alex still getting a lot of pain with his reflux?

Nothing much happening here. DS1 is staying with my mum for the week, so it has been a lot easier for me to get time on the computer, as you've probably all noticed! DH is still on holidays but goes back next Monday. I wish he had taken an extra week off, as most of last week was taken up with birthdays and Christmas, and then with Coen sick this week, we don't seem to have gotten much done.
~Simply*Blue~
Hi everyone, hope you all had a great christmas!

We have been so busy around here lately with Christmas and Talon's birthday on Tuesday, so many presents!! And of course Miller's birthday coming up too!

Miller's starting to talk now, earlier than my other boys too. He's having a huge word spurt, every day it's at least 3-4 new words. When he goes back to daycare in a few weeks they wont know him! He's also starting to show some interest in the toilet so will work on that in the new year too.

Uni starts on 22 Feb and I can't wait! I've still got to enrol in classes but can't do that until late Jan.

Holly How exciting!!

What is it with inlaws giving babies food?? I remember when Talon was really little MIL gave him 1/2 a cheeseburger!
tortagianduia
Happy New Year!!!

Wishing you all the best for 2010!

Did anyone do anything for NYE? We didn't. Yesterday for New Year's Day, Coen and I went to a friend's house for lunch while DH went to his parents' farm with my friend's DH to do some work on some stuff. Then we had dinner at my friend's and came home. Worked out to be a long day - over 2 hours drive each way. We left here at 8:45am, got back home at 10:45pm.

Rebecca, how exciting about uni!!! Hope Talon had a great birthday!

Holly, any news from you?!

Coen has just done the most massive soft poo - I think the bugs are working their way out of his system from when he was sick Sunday / Monday. I am not sure if maybe I had a touch of the same thing? On Thursday night, I felt nauseous in the evening, but I didn't vomit and it passed. Then yesterday my temp was up slightly in the morning, and I wondered whether it was because I had been feeling sick the night before, or if I had ovulated, or if perhaps the nausea was related to ovulation shrug.gif. I felt fine all of yesterday, and my temp is still up this morning, so I am hoping it does mean I have finally ovulated. I'll just have to wait and see what it is tomorrow.

DS1 has been at my mum's house all week - we're going to pick him up today. He turns 15 on the 15th of this month ohmy.gif . I don't know what we are going to do for his birthday yet. DH and I have bought him DJ Hero for his Wii, so no doubt he'll love that.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
~Simply*Blue~
OMG Amanda I can't believe it's your ds's birthday again, I swear he just had it lol. Another mars bar slice instead of a cake?

I just can't imagine any of my boys being 15, seems like an entire lifetime away! Is he good for you? I worry about when they are that age and rebelling. Yes I'm a stresshead wacko.gif

We didn't do anything for nye this year, boys were in bed by 7.30 and we were in bed by 10, fun fun fun in this house tongue.gif

tortagianduia
Rebecca, yes, he always prefers Mars Bar brownies to cake, for the past few years anyway. I am surprised you remembered that original.gif ! He is good, I am very lucky. One of my friends has a daughter born the same year, and has had endless trouble with her over the past year (as I think I may have said in here before) - running away, getting drunk, smoking, ? doing drugs (she denies it, but a bong was found in her room), sleeping with boys, hanging around with older boys / men, skipping school... It is such a worry for my friend sad.gif . She has had to get the police involved multiple times now to help find her and bring her home. And she has been told by the police and counsellors that there is basically nothing she can do to try and stop her daughter nno.gif. She is responsible for her until she turns 18, but basically cannot exercise any authority over her. If she says she is going out with people my friend doesn't approve of, that she just has to feel fortunate her daughter is telling her where she is going - which her daughter is doing because she knows her mother is now powerless to stop her, if she tries to stop her she just sneaks out and runs away, and she cannot be supervised 24 hours a day. I do feel very very fortunate that Jordan isn't like that at all. He is happy having his friend over here, or going over there, and playing on the Wii, or playing computer games. I used to worry that he was spending too much time doing that sort of thing, now I see there are much worse things he could be wanting to do. I limit how long he is on the Wii or the computer for while he is at home anyway, so it's not so bad. As far as teenagers go, he is pretty good happy.gif .

Jordan's not really one to succumb to peer pressure. He is quite happy being his own person and not following what everyone else is doing, and his friends are really nice and quiet (all computer nerds), so hopefully I won't have any problems with him. But I do sometimes worry how things will be when Coen is older, if he gets in with the wrong crowd and that kind of thing. I think it's only natural to worry about that.

You sound like us! We were in bed by 11pm. Old and boring, DH and I blush.gif.
mygorgeousboy
Well girls, DH arrived today and bought a test with him ..hehehe

So i tested...

Morning girls!

Holly, have you told your parents the good news? I know what it is like competing with a teenager for computer time ddoh.gif! Mine is back at home as of yesterday after spending a week with my mum.

DH is back at work today sad.gif. I wish he had taken an extra week off. I still have another 2 weeks of hols left ddance.gif.

moo~tickle
Amanda - hoping 2010 is your year too original.gif

Not much here, Cameron about to be fully weaned this week and starting day care next week. Got the mummy guilts again about it, but what can I do? I need to go back to work and I know he will be well looked after. He is crawling all over the floor (not on his knees but a commando) and is the most awesome kid! Over the weekend he stopped needed his night feed - AHHHHH heaven!

Thats all the rambling you will get. Not much sleep last night, both kids very very unsettled resulting in Madison in our bed and me asleep on the lounge with Cameron. Ahhh the joys of motherhood wink.gif
RedsGirl
Right, might give a proper post a go this time...

Ah Brooke, it is hard isn't it, but yes sometimes you just have to do these things. At least you know where he is going he will be happy and well looked after as you say. It does make it a bit easier.

Holly - congrats again... I was also wondering when you were going to spread the good news.. would you wait until 12 week mark?

Amanda
- I recall you mentioning this girl before... it sounds like every parents worst nightmare. Gee, these days in the eyes of the law there really isn't to omuch you can do is there?? I mean without you (the parent) getting in trouble. Then I look at my brother's new partner's 16yo son, who is just a lovely kid so I know its not all bad.

I also meant to ask about your friend overseas, the one who had the post natal psychosis (I think that's what it was)?? ?How is she doing now??

Sary - camping sounded great! I always love the idea of camping, but don't think I am made for the reality of it blush.gif Red is pretty keen though , so I am sure one day there will be a Griswolds type camping trip - I can just imagine it....

Liz - both your boys sound divine (except the screaming part)... Mime is going through that big mimicing stage too, its so cute!

Rebecca
- I've been meaning to say that picture of Cooper in your sig is just gorgeous. What a beautiful smiling face he has. Sounds like Miller is quiet the chatter box. Mimie is also showing a bit of interest in the toilet and what's going on/in her nappy, so I think TT could be on the cards here too. Only issue is one of her 2 daily poos is very early in the morning,s o she/we wake up to pooey nappy. Not much hope with that one just yet I think.

Claire I hope you survived the rest of your visit unscathed. How is your SIL and the bub by the way?? Is that your DH sister?? With the nasty husband?

Miss E is looking so divine at the moment. More of Mr T please (Heh heh Mr T...) I had a a squizz at your blog, I note you claim to be a novice sewer. Ha!!! Although I have to say I feel all inspired, and then when we were visitng my brother in Berry, there is this fabulous fabric/craft store and for the first time I felt tempted to get a machine and have a go at making things. What's happening to me blink.gif

AFM, seeing as I winged about Xmas rolleyes.gif ...

Xmas was nice, quiet, but nice. Opened her santa sack, my parents over for breakfast, then to Outlaws for lunch and dinner then home to bed. NYE also very quiet - I worked then we picked up MImie and went home for pizza. We made Midori illusions (Made me feel 18 all over again), then fought to stay awake until midnight (which we didn't manage, we fell alseep but woke again in time for midnight). NYD we had a great day - went down the coast to my brothers new place at Werri Beach, had a lovely lunch and a swim at the beach, then my nephew came back up with us for a few days.

Then Saturday was my birthday - had a nice quiet one befitting a lady of my advanced years rolleyes.gif Highlight was waking up to hear MIss J singing happy birthday in her room - pure co-incidence I am sure, but very cute nonetheless) And then yesterday saw Avatar, which was fantastic and I highly recommend it.

We have decided to keep Mimie where she is... she is so settled there now and comes home happy, clean and well fed.... we thought that rather put her through the trauma of uprooting her and moving her we'd keep her where she is. Plus I have noticed her language and singing etc have come ahead in leaps and bounds. She got to S in the alphabet the other day, can almost sing whole songs on her own, and having a good crack at 4 word + sentences.

When Red rang to tell the other place, he told them the news and our name and then she hung up on him.. hmmmmm, not a good sign eh? I think crrap admin + great care is better than fabulous admin + crappy care isn't it?

And Red and I are off to my cousin's wedding in late Jan. Mime is staying at home - ahhhhhh. A week without my baby!! I am kind of looking forward it it and hating the idea all at the same time.

A big one from me, so I'll get back in my box for another week.

Hope everyone is well!!

Megan xx
claireabell
ooooohhh Holly, i have goosebumps! that's such awesome news! congrats to you and your family. 2 Sept is DS's birthday too original.gif

Amanda I'm glad you have O'd, I have everything crossed for you.
what brand of ice-cream maker do you have? I got a cuisinart one, along with a recipe book that includes peanut butter ice-cream. *where's the drooling smiley?*. i want to find a recipe for licorice ice-cream too.

Megan we're still in NZ, and having a good time. we've been doing a bit of travelling and visiting friends with kids so that's keeping DD happy. we fly back on the weekend.

SIL came over for a few days too. she's pretty good, although her DH is still an a*s*hole. he did *nothing* with their son except crap on about how he's ruining their holiday by not sleeping. my little nephew is very cute and commando crawling around the place. it's amazing how quick they grow.

Megan i think you're doing the right thing with Mimie, she sounds very content there. i'm glad it's worked out.
And sewing, yes i am a novice! i only used a machine for the first time last July (although to be fair my mum and sis run a clothing business so i have always been around those who can sew and know about garment construction etc).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for Saturday!

Ahh Brooke, you always sound so together! Motherhood obviously suits you. we've been playing musical beds lately too. not fun but i guess they are only little for a short while.

Hello Sary!

Toilet training - so where do i start?!? i have no idea... DD does the odd poo/wee on the potty but usually only tells us after she's gone. is it too soon for her? she's interested in the loo when i go, but i am just not sure.

also debating whether to take the side off her cot but am afraid of things going pear-shaped. any advice? also she is very attached to her sleeping bag and i am worried she will not sleep without it.

better go, miss mischief should be asleep and is calling out to daddy!
Liz27
Congratulations Holly. That is just awesome news.
tortagianduia
Brooke, I hope Cameron will settle into childcare well. It is good that you know the people who will be looking after him and know that he will be well cared for. I hope you all get a better night's sleep tonight.

Megan, a belated happy birthday! My friend in Norway is doing well now. She got married in September, and took DS with them on the honeymoon. The meds seem to be working well. She says she doesn't think she will have any more children though. DS1 and I went to see Avatar too - wasn't my choice of movie, but I liked it - I was pleasantly surprised! Will Mimie stay with your parents when you and Red go away for the wedding? I would find it hard to leave Coen for a week, so I understand how you feel, but I am sure she will cope well. Have you started ttc yet? When do you have to have your HyCoSy?

Claire, I was checking out your blog the other day - all your creations are amazing! I have a Sunbeam Gelateria. I have heard the Cuisinart ones are really good. I am salivating at the thought of PB ice-cream tongue.gif!!! Any plans to try that one out soon? Pass along the recipe if it is good, won't you? So sad things have not gotten any better with your SIL's DH sad.gif. How are things going with your FIL?

TT - Coen was coming and letting me know when he needed to poo about 2 months ago. The closest I have had to success was he let me know he needed to poo, I sat him on the potty, waited, waited... Turned away for a minute and turned back to see he'd gotten off the potty, squatted next to it and pooed on the floor ddoh.gif! Recently he tells me after he has pooed - comes up and taps the front of his nappy. At least he doesn't end up being in a pooey nappy for long that way. I think he's a little while off from being ready to start tt'ing.
RedsGirl
Famous last words about Daycare...Mimie got bitten today ohmy.gif .. although its not their fault of course, not really. They told Red straight away when he turned up, had an incident report etc. Argument over a trike of course rolleyes.gif My only worry is lately she's been a bit nasty to the dog, whacking her and kicking her once or twice. She also gives us the odd whack. I am now scared that she'll think biting is a great new idea for acting out. I sure hope not.

Can i also ask for other Mum's of daycare attendees... what is the bib policy?? Do they wear one, or not?

Amanda - she'll probably split her time between Grandparents.i think she will be fine, but still, I feel really bad!
*astro*
i'm slack with posting here so getting in early... won't be long til our little 08 babes are turning two! Happy Birthday!

Lifes been super busy for me this last year. 3 kids, part-time uni, home business, etc. Somehow i've found the time to get pregnant with number 4. I swore I was done at 3, but well there you go. It'll be the V for DH after next July for sure though!

Claire is that the same SIL DH's who's come to stay with you at your place b4 and drove you crazy being lazy? grrrr. Have a great rest of your NZ trip.

Congrats Holly!

I want to post more personals, just a bit too tired now. Aaron's having his first night of sleep sharing a bedroom with his big bro, on the bottom bunk, first night of eviction from our co-sleeping bed. He slept in a single bed on holidays pre-xmas and did really well, so we'll see.
At the best he'll toddle in for a snuggle around 4am, which is fine. At worst, well i better get to sleep now, could be a long night!

~Simply*Blue~
Congratulations Holly!!

Amanda I'm really hoping for you too hands.gif

Astro Congratulations on your new pregnancy too! Good to hear from you again.

Megan in the babies room they generally put bibs on them if they are eating something messy. Other than that I don't think they are used much. Unless of course a parent wants them to wear one, then I guess they send the child with one on.

Cooper's starting daycare next month too cry1.gif Only for one day, but I don't have any other option.

Not much happening here atm. I'm stuck at home for the next 2 weeks as we put our car in to be painted yesterday. Boys are going well so far.

Miller's been so cute lately, I ask him how old he's going to be on his birthday and he says 'two' putting up 2 fingers wub.gif

I'm kicking myself right now, I've just bought a book online but must have clicked twice and ended up ordering 2 of the same book. I've sent an email asking to cancel one of the books but even if they do the best I think I'll end up with is store credit.

Megan, poor Miss Mimie! Coen has started hitting, and needs to be reminded to be gentle with the cats. Sometimes he is stroking them gently, next moment, wham! Coen has experimentally bitten me a few times, not hard. Most of the time he is lovely, but every now and then when he isn't getting his way...

astro, welcome back and congratulations on your pregnancy! Hope Aaron slept well overnight in his new bed.

AFM, trying not to obsess... much! 5DPO today, temp has dipped right down, still above the coverline though, just. I am hoping it is an implantation dip, and not that the previous temps were an aberration, that I haven't o'd yet, and need to go back to BDing. Hopefully temp will be back up tomorrow.

Have a great day, everyone!

We've all gone very quiet again. I have popped in here a couple of times, but I didn't want to post as I was the last to post, and hate it to look as though I am talking to myself!

Rebecca, hope you're not going too stir crazy without your car!

Not much happening here. DH is back at work this week. I am trying not to obsess too much during the 2WW. I'm 7DPO today, and my temp finally picked back up this morning after the dip 2 days ago. The pattern doesn't look all that good, I don't think this will be my month. So another 7 days until AF arrives. I have been buying some pretty new pads over the past week, and I am kinda looking forward to using them.

What is everyone planning for their little one's 2nd birthdays? I haven't gotten onto planning Coen's yet, as I have SIL's birthday on the 14th, and DS1's birthday on the 15th of this month, and Coen's isn't until a month after that. At this stage I will be rostered to work on Coen's birthday, so I'll have to either see if I can have the day off (Sunday) or do something the day before.

I hope everyone is well!

We are having an ELMO PARTY - woooooo. Only small this year, family, godparents and maybe one or two others. I am getting some licensed stuff and then yellow and red stuff. I wanted to have a crack at icing her cake, but now I think I will bake it and get a good family friend to ice it for me.. she has all the doings, so just easier, plus some income for her.

BTW - the boy who bit her apprently went up to another child the next day - SLEEPING - pulled back the covers and bit them. I suspect there is a bit more than just playground shenanigans going on here, maybe home issues?? Who knows, but they are having serious talk with his parents about it all.

Thanks for the bib feedback everyone. Sometimes she comes home a bit of a mess, but my Aldi soaker seems to get rid of most things tthumbs.gif I have found she's regressed somewhat, whereas she was previously excellent with her forks and spoons, since starting DC she will have a couple of goes with cutlery, then its in with the hands and sometimes face, so I figure she is getting this from the other kids. This too shall pass hey rolleyes.gif ??

Claire - we have debated converting Mimie's bed, as she is quite kee on our 'big bed', but I thought to myself why do it now? There really is no reason, she's happy and safe in there. So I think we will leave it for a while yet - maybe when she's at the stage of bedtime stories eetc, we wil look at it then.

Rebecca Miller sounds so cute! Good luck with the remaining two weeks.. you must show us before and afters of the car!

Over and out for now...

Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone had a good christmas!! We moved into our new place, yay! Unfortunately the renos aren't exactly complete so we still don't have a working kitchen, but its amazing what you can cook with a toaster oven and a sandwich press!

Just a quick hello as I'm at work, and we don't have internet at home yet sad.gif

Congrats holly!! Woo hoo, fantastic.

Amanda, fingers crossed for you this month !

Redsgirl, oh no, poor mimie being bitten. Same happened to milly, hard not to worry about them when it happens! Happy birthday !!

Claire, hope you are having fun in NZ - we leave friday week for a fortnight in NZ, can't wait! Well, apart from visiting all the in-laws... no, it will be fun original.gif

Congrats astro on your preg!

simply-blue- its hard when they start daycare, I can understand how you feel. He will be ok though, and great its only 1 day to start with.

Hi Sary!

I am still recovering from our move, and mainly the fact they dropped my nearly brand new piano - twice, and killed it cry1.gif cry1.gif I am devastated, it was given to me by my father just before amelia was born, when I was a bit down, and I have cherished it, its (almost) like a third child. The insurance co just wants to give me some crapola piano and a thousand $$ to compensate, and seem to have no idea whatsoever that pianos come in different qualities and mine was a really nice one!!!

But, am loving our new place, and the fact it is ours and not some dumb landlord's!

better keep working xoxoxox

Hi Girls! waves.gif

Ginny - Yay on moving in! But not so yay about your piano sad.gif

Megan - Elmo party sounds cuuuttteee!

Ooohhhhhh Amanda - fingers, toes still crossed!

Holly - hope all is going well with you... and no ms is kicking in.

Not much to report here... Just nice summer days with the family. Ooohhhhh and I saw my good friend's 3rd baby yesterday. Cluck cluck cluck! Little Imogen... just devine! And she is just a bit bigger than Macy was when she was born and I find it so hard to believe she was ever that small. Especially when she is cuddling this little baby!

Just a fly bye hello! waves.gif Hello to you all - hope 2010 is starting off nice and chilled for you all xxx
mygorgeousboy
Hi Girls,

Still at my parents house...Going home tomorrow and back to work on Monday. sad.gif

Things are going well here. No MS yet so hopefully it stays right away. Not sure how i would cope changing numerous pooey nappies a day and feeling sick. We have told both of our parents but are keeping it quiet till the 12 week mark. I haven't even been to the Dr's yet so its still very early days. I seriously don't feel pregnant at all. shrug.gif

Ginny, thats great news that your in your house and such a bummer about your piano. sad.gif

Megan, an Elmo party sounds gorgeous. And unfortunatley biting is very common in the toodler room at day care. Hope Mimie is okay. I one cared for a little girl who would bite everyone/everything. We basically had one carer following her around all day watching her like a hawk. It was so horrific when she bit a 3mth old on the face and it drew blood. The babies poor parents were just beside themselves as you would be. So bad cry1.gif

Amanda, how you feeling? Hope so badly that this is your month and would truly love to share this experience with you.

Sary, glad your enjoying your summer. We have also been hanging out at the beach and H loves the water. Wish we lived closer to the coast..One day hopefully. (our next move)

Congrats Astro original.gif

Well better be off to have a shower and then bed. H has been having late nights and so has been a little grumpy throughout the day. Hope he goes back to normal once we get home. Night girls xx
~Simply*Blue~
Holly I hope the ms stays away for you, it did for me when I was pregnant with Miller. Just the occasional wave of nausea and that was it. As for feeling pregnant, with the exception of Cooper I never had any early symptoms and would sometimes forget I was pregnant.

Not sure what we are doing for Miller's birthday yet, it's on a saturday so maybe a family bbq, or just an afternoon tea with cake. Nothing much anyway. I do need to buy wrapping paper though his presents sitting in the top of his cupboard with a towel over it!

We got him a Tonka, what's everyone else getting their big 2 yr olds?
RedsGirl
