Hi,

I got a hair straightner for Christmas but I have no clue how to use whats the best way to start etc... as I have never been shown or been near one before ohmy.gif

I tried today but got burning hair smell and some sizzling which I assume is not how its meant to go


Please give me some tips and whats the best products to use with it I have lots of thick but very fine hair.

Hey there!

I love my straightner...I couldn't live without it!

I straighten my hair in sections (usually about 4 or 5), starting at the base of my neck, i section some out, clip the top bit up and then slide my straightener slowly from the root of my hair to the ends. then that part is done then i move onto the next section!

dont go too slow, I have found that if I leave the straightener in one spot too long(usually more than a few seconds) I get a kink in my hair sad.gif I do 2-3 quick sweeps over each section and it works well original.gif

Make sure your hair is dry. Which would be why it is making the sizzle noises. Even if its sweaty wet, it will sizzle your hair.. .
