Kerry - good to see you back. Have been wondering how you were going
love~my~4
Silver!!!!

Welcome back Bron hhugs.gif, we have been wondering how Coops & Pepper are (you too of course). The kids sound like they have a very special relationship, so cute what Cooper says about Pep. Is Cooper going to school next year or are you holding him back? We're keeping Joel back, so he'll start in 2011, he is probably ready, but socially & emotionally is not. Who know's if we've made the right decision or not. He did an extra year in the 3-4 year old room this year, so will move into the kinder room next year, 3 days a week. Jess is such a girl now, so into pink, fairies and Hi 5 and Joel is obessed with Ben 10 now, no more Thomas or cars sad.gif

Great to see you in here to Kerry. Maybe now that Bron's back, we misght get a few more. Would be good.

Hope everyone is well!!! waves.gif

Thought it was time i came in and update you all..Well Im doing really well,Im 26 wks now only 14 wks or 98days or less to go now and cant wait although i still have nothing ready..We have 5 outfits for her and thats it slowly paying off the car seat layby which should be off by christmas.Got a midwife appointment on tuesday for my glucose test, last appointment a measured three wks a head and if im measuring ahead again on tuesday she is going to book me in for another scan..Still in lots of pain with my back, legs and hips,Ive been getting lots of braxton hicks lately and its odd because i never got them when i was pregnant with Ashleigh and Samuel..
i cleaned out the toy room to convert it into Samuels room yesterday and he loves it he slept all night which was great because normally im up and down to him at least 2-4 times a night but i didnt hear him cry once last night Although i went to bed last night rolled over and said to DH "cant we go and bring him back in here now" lol..I want my baby boy back...
He is now running everywhere and has 4 top front teeth,2 far back top molars and 3 bottem front teeth and h must have cut another bottom tooth today because i could feel the tip of one when he let me have a feel earlier so that makes 10 teeth..

Umm think that about it..Oh DH has some work finally just doing some cleaning with his brother for some guy its $15 an hour and works about 10-15 hours a wk which is great..

Ok pretty sure thats it..Hope mums and bubs are well..Ill try and come in more often
mumsthe1
Bron, Kerry and Tam, great to see you all around. Not real much happening here, Alessia is teething bigtime, getting her eye teeth, she got the bottom ones a few weeks back but the top ones are just about through. Other than that, all good here.

Bron, I also stalk your blog, the kids are so grown up, and you sewing is fantastic BTW
*~Luvmy2~*
Hi Ladies waves.gif

BRON!!!!! Im soooooooooo super glad your back bbighug.gif Wow soo much has happened since you last came on and i was dying to know how you and the family were doing and its great to hear that all is well!!! Yay to Coop on his new set of wheels, i can just imagine him zooming around the house and lil Pep chasing after him... keeping you on your toes but you wouldnt want it any other way!!! Seeing your post made my day, im all smiles now biggrin.gif

Ellie Thanks for the congrats!

Maryanne how is Alessia doing?? Hope her chest infection didnt last long same with your Laryngitis!! The eye teeth are painful... Brocks are just sitting there waiting to pop through and any top teeth he gets are bad. He has 4 top, 4 bottom and has one top molar so waiting for others to come through. Worst thing with teething is it causes him really bad nappy rash which i need to treat with Daktozin and Sudocrem also with his wee having excess acid it burns his lil balls sad.gif

Foxi glad to hear that Kyle has his 1st job and i bet you are soo proud that Paige is going on to Uni, i hated study so there was no chance i was going on to uni etc. So are you now a proud grandma or are you still awaiting the arrival??

Kylie So hows Mitch going with the walking?? In a way i wish Brock wasnt walking cos he is a handful and once he is let down on his own he is off like a rocket and i get sooo tired just keeping up with him... hope he slows down by the time this bub is born!! Boys are sooo much more trouble i reckon... Brock can now reach things on the kitchen bench and is climbing anything!

Kerry waves.gif Nice to see you!! How is the clan going?

Tam my gosh how your pregnancy has flown by!!

Well i am well, had my 12 week scan today which was good. I am measuring on time and bub is developing well, i got to see him/her in 3D which was just awsum and so from here i have my 1st antenatal clinic on Thursday 12th November so its really hitting home now that im having another bubba!! Well here are a few pics from my scan today wub.gif

I am totally loving the weather lately here in Perth with tomorrow meant to be 27, Friday 29 and Saturday 32 cool.gif i have organised a BBQ with Eammons dad, his wife to be, his 3 brothers and their partners as it will be a great time to catch up!!

Ok im off to have a shower... Nite Nite happy.gif

Gosh, not a single post since 14/10! Come on girls where aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarre you? YoooooooHooooooo?

Re-posting from FB: Last week I had a glorious week of absolutely undisturbed nights (6 in a row OMG without a peep out of Darcy!). He was gorgeous during the daytime, happy and eating well, then tired at night and even fell asleep for Daddy (first and second times ever), so I missed out on my mummy cuddles twice awwww.

But, Darcy had a crappy night last night, with waking up screaming twice, once with a toxic poo filled nappy, and a bit unsettled this morning, looks like the molars on the left bottom are whinging again. The right bottom ones are through, along with his 8 front teeth.

I made a bit of a christmas list yesterday - 28 presents, the bulk of them kiddies! I hate buying toys for kids, I never know what to get. Those of you with girls, what do you get for girls of 1 and 3 and 4 and 7 and 9 and 16? And those of you with boys, what do you get for boys of 1 and 5 and 8 and 11 and 17? arghhh

My work will be vacating our building on 17th November and moving into the brand new state-of-the-art 6-star-rated green building for Australia Post Headquarters. Oooooh spiffy! Can't wait. It's lovely to be throwing out years and years of paperwork and taking almost nothing with us! But I'm only on the 5th floor, so no decent view, but it'll be better than the view of three walls and a corridor that I have now lol.

Thinking of you all, hope you're enjoying your weekend.
love~my~4
In the past days Mitch has taken 1,2,4,6 and then 8 steps unaided.Today he has taken 8 then turned around and waked another 8. So I think we're finally getting there. He has been walking for about 4 months pushing Jessie's prams & shopping trolleys everywhere, so its great to see him doing it by himself now.

Sandi, it's very exciting moving offices, not so exciting packing though. We moved end of July, and I still haven't finished unpacking and get sorted out. One day.
Xmas presents, boys about 5 love Ben 10 so anything Ben 10 related or teenage mutant turtles, clothes included. Girls 3 or 4, barbie's, strawberry shortcake, hair clips, fairy skirts/wings, anything girly. Can't help with the rest, good luck.
How's Darcy now? teeth??Mitch has a few coming too. Now such thing as a sleep through in my household.

Kyles, what did you decide about finding out on the sex of bubs?cute pics.

Tam, not long now, it has gone fast, although I'm sure you don't think so.

Hi Maryanne waves.gif

Bron, how do we get to your blog? biggrin.gif
TheSmithFamily

HI girls,

Hope everyone is well and had a great weekend.

The link to my blog is in my signature but here it is here too!

I also cannot believe it is Christmas so soon! I made a decision to do all handmade gifts this year and have been doing well with all the bdays Cooper is going too lately! I am in the process of making his 4 teachers presents which is really fun! plus the zillion of family! WE have a KK for both sides which is great. WE have a $20 limit for my fam and this year it has to be homemade or recycled and for Andrews Fam it's a $50 limit for extended family.

I have asked for no material presents for the kids and for the aunties and uncles to take the kids for a special outing.

We are doing some wine labels with the kids handprints and paintings.
Heatpacks ( with lavendar and wheat) and eye masks.
Homemade choccies
Painted and decorated wooden tree decorations

Pep has hit the terrible 2's alrady and throwing some great tanti's plus she is a climber so she fell off the table before but hopefully she will remember not to do that again! she is just so busy all the time and never stops unless it is to quickly eat or have a nap!

Yay to Mitch's walking!!! how exciting! original.gif

Bron - Hello honey!

I think Pep & Koby should marry, Kobes fell off the table too. He is a hyperactive crazy looney child...On second thought, maybe Pep shouldn't marry him laughing2.gif

I ♥ the idea of hand made gifts. I'm so not craft orientated (Kyles doesn't believe me because I work @ Spotlight!).

Hey got any plans for January? I'm going to Melbourne for a wedding & would love to meet up with the Smith family.

I have a new fave pic of Coop, its the one with your Mum swimming. OMG I ♥ it!! And this is my favourite of the 2 of them. You have such beautiful kids ♥

Hope you're well beautiful girl ♥ Kisses to the beautiful boy and gorgeous girl of yours xox

Hello to everyone else (I'm pretty sure I say hello to most of you most days on FB)

Shameless Bump...

Today I was meant to meet up with lots of EB mums...

went to Maccas with Darcy today (his first time) and it was McHappy Day, so we donated money and got served by a guy wearing a Richmond Footy Guernsey. Then I shared my McMuffin with a very excited Darcy and he investigated the Playground. Such a shame the rest of the girls weren't able to make it. But it was lovely for both of us. And then he came home and slept for THREE HOURS

Then.....OM*G, I just looked back on the "arrangements" that I'd made!!! What a dolt am I!!! I was sposed to meet the girls on Sunday! TOMORROW... Hahahhahhahahahhaha, what an idiot! Oh well, Darcy gets to go to Maccas again! He did enjoy the playground, so it will be even more fun with friends to share it with. Yay!

We are TTC#3 before I am 30 in April, is anyone else TTC? this cycle will be #7, I hope it is the cycle that works for us. I have just lost a 3 weeker but i am coping ok with it. I lost one before Nate, so hope it means the next one will be sticky.

That would eb great if the creator could add me..my email to add me to your facebook mummy's is bernadettesnudden@hotmail.com

Thank you for email back about the talking i had actually just thought about flash cards as an idea i was thinking if i couldnt find any maybe i could just make some on the computer...we try adn do as much reading as possible but with an 18month she loves the flick through the pages so it more just looking at pictures although she does tell a story in her own language whilst we are reading hehe.

Glitters not sure ive spoken to you on here before thanks for the reply.

Detta - sounds perfectly normal to me. My first two had a verbal explosion around 15m, and now DS is looking like his is starting just before 18m. It'll happen when they're ready. If shes babbling a lot, you're reading a lot, singing, talking a lot - that all helps. You can also do baby sign language as well - which can help them aquire the language and speaking skill earlier. Have fun with it though - don't get caught up in what they should or shouldn't be doing until it really could be a problem.

Wrt to the FB group - I thought it was a closed group now and more members were not wanted.... dry.gif

I don't really belong to the group ... I just flit in and out every now and then. Life is so so busy! Hope you're all well and doing ok though.

Yes that is what I was told too and another reason I don't really come in here much.

Hi lanfear - how are you doing?

Hi detta - nice to see someone new in here original.gif
Sandiccc
Hi all,
I just want to clear up any confusion over the FB group..

There was a late July 2008 DIG on EB and we taliked on EB for a long time. Over time, we started talking on FB and we formed an Inbox message thread. Facebook limits these threads to 20 recipients.

We don't "MEAN" to be a closed group, but we're limited by Facebook. There are a few girls who come in to EB from time to time. I hope you July 08 girls don't think we're antisocial....
mesaana
Thanks Sandiccc - I didn't realise that was the case. My other EB PG have a FB group too - so I assumed it was the same. If you start a group, but make it completely secret - so that membership can only be invited by an admin, you don't run into limited membership problems. We have a huge number of chat topics, a lot of things we wouldn't put on the www normally but need to discuss it with our friends, photos that can't be seen by everyone else, etc. Whether others are invited to join or not perhaps you should make your FB group a real group - much easier to keep track of - and you can separate discussion topics too.

Hi Ellie - so so sorry I haven't kept in better touch. I have been so flat out with work and life. I'm heading overseas today, by myself - my first time without the kids, so am feeling a tad anxious about it all. But I'm sure it'll be fine. Anyway, I may have a bit of extra time then and will send you a message. I hope all is well biggrin.gif

ellie41
That is interesting sandi as I was told by a mum in here that new members were not welcome in the FB thread even if there was room for them as the old members wouldn't feel comfortable discussing things with people they didn't know. Or perhaps it was just me that wasn't welcome wink.gif

My June 2010 DIG has also set up a FB group and we aren't restricted by numbers, similar to the one lanfear mentioned

Have a great trip lanfear - where are you off to?
mesaana
ellie - I'm going to NZ and AU!!! I'm actually in LAX right now .. charging up my laptop lol. I'm so tired and want to go to bed. It was very hard leaving the kids behind, I'm hoping I'll sleep for most of the trip over to NZ - I have a conference there for work. Then onto AU to meet up with some collegues (and meet up with a heap of friends too ... where do you live?).

ellie41
lanfear - wow....how excting! I remember very well the trip from London to LA and then Auckland. It was a killer so I don't envy you that. I can imagine it would be hard to leave the kids behind but enjoy it! I am in Perth so if you're over this way..... original.gif
~Alchemy~
Hi girls,

It's been a VERY long time since I have posted in here (hi Bron biggrin.gif)

But I just wanted to clarify what Sandicc has said about the facebook group. It is not a group as such (ie. we haven't set up a group through FB), it is actually just a message thread that one member sends out each month to all the other girls - that is why there is a limit of only 20 members. You can only send a message to 20 people at a time. It was discussed whether we wanted to take the group to circle of moms to include newer EB members but the consensus was, nobody really liked the circle of moms layout and we never posted much when we were in there originally. I just don't want EB ladies to feel like we are deliberately excluding people because if we could add more to the message thread, I can assure you, we would biggrin.gif

Also, on the talking thing. We have been discussing that lately too because one of the mums was told that at 18 months, your LO should be saying about 50 words and all I can say to that is WHAT A LOAD OF BOLLOCKS. My DD DOES say about 50 words but I am pretty sure the 'average' is not 50 words... going by what other online mums and RL mums have been saying, it is perfectly normal if your 18mo is still saying next to nothing. Of my mother's group (there's about 30 of us, only 2-3 of the kids talk at about Abby's level and from our FB group, there's only about 2-3 again). I'm not saying this boastfully, it is merely to point out what the 'average' or 'norm' is. Hope that eases your mind a bit Detta.

Hmmmm, might come back in here more than once a year Tounge1.gif

Hi everyone,
Popped in to say hi! First time is a really, really long time!!! Hope you are all well- happy and healthy!

All good for us- have sold our house and moved to Toowoomba (West of Brisbane), bought land (1.5 acres) and are getting sorted out to build original.gif

The girls are all good- Liv's off to school this year (actually, she's off to school in 3 sleeps...lol, not that we're counting!!!). Sophie's 4 in April and as gorgeous as ever. Ava is 18 months and is a complete daredevil who is such a cutie!!! Ava's speaking lots (although this is only in the recent weeks), active as anything, has all her teeth except 2 yr molars, still waking up most nights, still has a dummy and bottle, 13.8kg, and LOVES mixing it with her big sisters rolleyes.gif

The days are always chockers, hence why I decided to stick to FB- the days aren't long enough for me to commit to 2 sites LOL!

Anyhoo...big girls going nutty- better go!

take care, Rach

BTW, will have to change my name here...DEFINATELY not anotherwinterbaby coming to this family biggrin.gif

very funny Rach, are you sure there's no more Winter babies???

Good Morning ladies

after hearing back from so many of you i feel much better about my 18month old daughter speech thats for sure i was thinking 50 words was just crazy i think it was a bit of the green eyed monster poking fun as in my childs smarter etc etc bit silly i think...charlotte going well she is learning and we are reading alot more too...as for miss mia she is 9.5 weeks and has now suddenly decided to not sleep all night as she was but to wake from 3am and cry till i go into her room and smile cheeky bugger lol it is cute but missing my sleep lol....i have contemplated returning to work i had an interview last week and should hear back today but its a full time property management roll i think it would be too much on my kiddies and they are only babies for such a sort time..ive such a busy day just gotten home from an appoitment ...and then meeting our builder this afternoon and chasing banks all day haha re the new house each time we build it so exciting but the banks drive me batty lol....i see one of the other mums is building also how are you finding it all?

have a great day mummies xo
anotherwinterbaby
biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif ......no!! No more kiddies for us Kylie :-) More than happy to be moving on into the next phase....yeehah! We've escaped babyland...well almost wink.gif

Detta44: Yes, we are building too! Or I should say, we should start the build in April (fingers crossed!) We are still at the extremely tedious pre-build stage- confirming plans, choosing colours, and the bank (need to get onto the bank now!!!!). DH called the broker we used to sort out our land purchase- waiting for a call back from him today. Where are you building? Are you building with a private builder or a building company? We are building with Perry homes- building a 'ranch-style' house on our 1.5 acres. It's going to be a monster- 5 Br + study (it's 36m from one end to the other!!!!!). I'm going to stick a GPS on the girls to find them in this new house LOL!

Oh, just had the call from the broker- all sweet wink.gif

Well, our big baby had her first full day as a school girl today! She is so exhasted this afternoon!!! She had a fabulous day- so quiet now though!!!!

All good here otherwise!

Ok, so I thought it was about time I popped in to say I'm UTD. Yep number 4 for me biggrin.gif I'm 12 weeks now, and looking like I'm at least 16 weeks. Popped very early, couldn't fit into my normal pants at 8 weeks. I was like that with number 3, so I guess this is no different.

Detta44, where are you building? Sounds like you've built a couple of houses.

Rach, how exciting having Olivia off to school this year. Are you sure you don't have room for number 4? I think your house will be plenty big enough laughing2.gif

Bron waves.gif are you still popping in here occassionally? Hope all is well with you.

Why HELLO!!!!!!! waves.gif

It has been a millions years, and i don't know what even made me finally think to look up a parent's group. Things here are just fine and dandy.

I went back to work 3 days a week in July 09 and am doing the same hours this year but different days. I swindled Mon, Tues, Wed this year, so yay! to 4 day w'ends!!!

Nate is such a boy! He plays hard, but also sleeps hard, which is a relief. Well and truly into a little routine with one big sleep a day - can almost set your watch to 12 noon and watch the eye rubs and yawns roll in - and also a good little sleeper at night.

Exciting news is that we are expecting #2!!! Yippee!! We had decided we wanted 2-3 years between bubs, so I got the implanon thingy out, and BAM! we are 'with child' wink.gif. #2 is due late July, so we really snuck into the 2 years by a couple of weeks!!

Will be reading along to catch up more in the future. You are all sounding well and it is also very exciting to see a number of you 'cooking' away too!
