Just letting you all know that Berry Springs is closed early this year and will not be opening again until the end of the Wet.

Water quality testing is being conducted.

Of course Ree and i had to go swimming there the week before they decide to close it down for dodgy water quality! sick.gif rolleyes.gif

The park is still open for picnics, but no swimming.

Does not surprise me in the slightest, we havent been back there since Lucy caught Giardia and at the time, the doctor said they had a lot of cases confirmed when people had been swimming at Berry!

Gee, I haven't been swimming in Berry Springs for about 20 years!!!!! I think water quality has always been a bit of a problem there. Hope you got away unscathed!!!

Will know what my little fella had by Friday, testing is being done..

Had the runs since Friday night and high fevers.. no one else is sick and the doctor seems to suspect Berry Springs!!! ohmy.gif

I was told at the TWP that the water had been contaminated thats why they have shut it... Lets hope there is a huge wet to flush it out, as the kids & I enjoy going there cool.gif

Somehow i don't think i will be returning again Ree. As much as it is nice to swim there, i won't be going back i'm afraid.

The disgusting bogan behaviour of locals and tourists when we went last time is certainly another turn off as well for me.

I will be going back as soon as its all been washed out well in the dry i suppose... original.gif

I understand about the bogans & the going ons out there, but its a beautiful place, the kids love running around and if it was looked after a little more it would be enjoyed by more people...

The wave pool/leayner are awesome aswell but then you have to deal with the tourists, and other bogans that go there....

I like natural waterholes, and will enjoy swimming in them for years to come biggrin.gif
