Just wondering if anyone out there knows where I can buy a maternity pillow/wedge. I have been having alot of trouble sleeping lately and have heard that these are great !!

I love in Sydney but would buy online if there was no-where in Sydney that sells them.

Hi!

Don't know if this is what you're after but you can buy a body pillow (called Body Mate) which is like a long long pillow that you can snuggle into.

Spotlight sell them for about $21 I think. I don't think its marketed as a maternity pillow - would probably sell for $121 if it was!!! The only bummer is that the pillowcases for them are about $20.00 s well. Mind you you could always just buy some material and make 2 or 3 yourself (or get someone else to!) for a the same amount.

I was going to buy one but not sure how much use I'd really get out of it. Still deciding. Although you could always reuse it as just 1 long single pillow that goes all the way cross your bed.

Anyway, hope that helps!

Cheers,
Kerrie

Not sure about the Maternity Pillow as such but I've just switched from the regular pillow I 'cuddle' to a U shaped one. OMG....!!! The difference is AMAZING! I no longer fight during the night to keep it in place around my belly. Also I haven't woken up with a sore back or stiffness since. My poor step-son may never see his beloved U-shaped pillow again!!

Just thought I'd offer you a possible cheaper alternative.

Good luck finding whatever suits you because believe me, I'm finding a good night's sleep these days before baby arrives is priceless.

I bought my pregnancy wedge from Baby Target. I think the brand is Dentons? Was about $25?? Sorry, it was a while ago (March/April 03) that I bought it.

Good luck!

I just bought a giant body pillow from a specialty bedding story, I think forty winks, for about $20. pillow case was about $11. I used that the whole way through and had another regular pillow for my back. I kinda shoved the body pillow between my legs nearly crotch area, and curl it behind my bum.... COMFY. I started sleeping so well towards the end of pregnancy with my comfort pillows. Just the getting up every hour to wee kinda wrecked the sleep!

Hi - I bought a body pillow from Spotlight for about $20, and one of their own brands of pillow cases for only $10. It took a while to get used to, but it's great now. I also use another normal pillow on the other side of me when sleeping. I have seen the special "maternity" wedge pillows being sold in the store "Room for 2" for quite a lot - around $40 I think.

HI,

I've got my sisters maternity pillow (wedge) - don't know what the price was but she got it from Target Warringah Mall. The flyer in the pillow has a number for Dentons (the manufacturer - 03 98870001) maybe call Target at Warringah Mall and see if they have them if not maybe the manufacture can tell you where you can buy one

I've seen them at target. But, I found the V shape pillow great. I used when I was preg, one leg under the belly and the other between my legs. After the bith it was/is great as back support when feeding. And we even used it when DS was learning to sit (incase he rolled back or sideways). These pillow are only about $12....oh and with 15% off at kmart, even less!!
