Hi All,

I'm interested to hear about the schedule you (try) to keep to for your babies. My babies are almost 8 months old (6.5 months corrected) and currently I try to keep them to the following routine:

6am - wake up and bottle
7am - solids
8.30am - sleep
10am - bottle
12.30pm - sleep
2pm - bottle
3pm - solids
4.30pm - sleep
6pm - bottle
7pm - solids
8.30pm - sleep
11pm - rollover feed

I'm thinking that I might need to change this because:
- I often have to wake them during the day (nice change from the past where I had to rock them to keep them asleep). I'm wondering if they might need 2 x 2hr sleeps during the day instead of 3 x 1.5 hr sleeps.
- They don't tend to eat a lot of solids at dinner time as I think they are still quite full from their afternoon solids.

I have also been advised to give them their solids before their bottle, but given that they don't take a lot of milk now, I'm worried that if they have solids first, they won't take any milk.

I am a bit scared to mess with their routine as we are just starting now to get them to sleep better during the night.

Would be interested to hear what others do.

Cheers.

Hi, i can't remember what we did first time around and am in the thick of newborn behaviour with my 2 now 8 weeks old!

However there was a website I used first time around www.babybliss.com.au that offered free routines. It's on the right hand side once you scroll down a bit. I found the 3-6 month guide really useful. Again you need to scroll down to get to the PDF files. There are a lot of "should's" but it may give you some ideas.

Cheers, Emma

My two are 7.5 mths or 6 mths adjusted and we run very loosely to the following routine.
6am - wake and bottle
7am - breakfast solids
9am - sleep for 45 minutes
10.30am - bottle
11.30am - sleep for 45 minutes
12.30 - lunch solids
3pm - bottle
4.30pm - dinner solids
5pm - bath
5.30- top up bottle (sometimes only drink 20ml)
6pm bed
10pm - bottle.

If they wake later that 6am then everything adjusts a bit in the morning but lunch and onwards never change. In bed by 6pm so we can have our dinner with my 2.8yr old DD.

Interesting to hear others
