My SIL has twins (15 months) and currently I don't think she's receiving any family assistance from the govt.
I'm currently getting the Family Tax Benefit B for my DD but is there a similar allowance for twins/multiples.
I couldn't find anything on the internet.

Depends on their income & Twins aren't considered a Multiple birth anymore.
If she goes to the familyassist.gov.au website she should be able to do a estimate to see if she should get any money.
HTH.

We don't get anything for twins, although all our benefits went from being paid for 2 children to being paid for 4 and we also receive a large family supplement.

Not sure what allowance you are referring to Claire as our houshold income is only $52,000 and we recieve $670 p/f FTB A and FTB B for our 4 children....

There is no special payment for twins.
We earn about $52,000 too and we get $672 a fortnight for 4 children!

Family tax benefit does NOT cut off at $40,000. It is just that you can get the maximum rate if your income is under this amount.
As a pp suggested, go to www.familyassist.gov.au to see what she may be entitled to.
