I don't post much, usually just seeking advice and lurking but I just had to share my news. My beautiful baby girls were born in the early hours of Tuesday morning after my waters broke at 30 weeks 2 days. I was being prepd for csection as they were breech and transverse but everything happened so quickly and they were delivered naturally bum first and then twin 2 footling in the theatre 5 minutes apart. They weighed in at 1110g and 1560g and are doing really well in special care. It's all very overwhelming but I'm so glad to meet my little girls even though it's a bit soon. Anyway, thanks for reading and I look forward to picking your brains further down the track about my twins.....

Hoping your journey through NICU/SCN is as smooth and quick as possible. Please feel free to join us in the Multiples Under One group when you get a chance.

Congrat's on the early but safe birth of your DD's original.gif.

My girls were born at 30 weeks via c-section. It's a bit of a road to get them home, but it's wonderful to meet them & finally have them home with you.

Congratulations!

Thanks very much ladies for the replies. Their names are Olivia and Tayla and yes their entry into the world was very dramatic. I was discharged from hospital on Wednesday afternoon and I'm pretty fragile at the moment but it's very encouraging hearing from you guys.

Thanks again

Congratulations! I have ID twin girls who are 16 months old today, born at 32w. I also hope your journey through NICU/SCN is smooth and steady. I guess your girls just wanted to be here for Mothers' Day!

COngratulations on the arrival of your special girls.
My boys were born at 33 weeks and spent a couple of weeks in NICU/SC and although it's hard watching what they go through some days, it's so rewarding the day you bring them home and then the following months watching them grow and blossom into healthy happy babies.
I am sure your journey will be a wonderful experience original.gif

Thanks for your kind words everyone and congrats Kym on your pregnancy.......

An update on the girls - had a great Mothers Day today with my boys (DH & DS) and my girls! They are doing so well that the doctors are saying that they would be out of NICU if there was room in Nursery 2 for them! They have been off CPAP for a couple of days now and are only a bit jaundiced still but other than that they are doing great. We couldn't be happier about their progress.

Edited to add: Happy Mothers Day everyone!
