I went to a baby shop in Belconnen today and after looking around asked why they didn't stock Phil and Teds (just curious because I have one).

The staff member said the company has already had a couple of lawsuits and he didn't want to be held accountable, he went on to say how they weren't Australian and not practical and that no other store will stock them....interesting. I love my Phil and Teds e3, has anyone else heard about the lawsuits? The staff member said it's because children have had thier fingers damaged in the wheels and babies have slipped out of the harness.

I heard that they rated very badly in the Choice review... I heard the same thing about the fingers but apparently there were other things as well?
I was looking at the e3 for when the next bub came, but this put me right off!!
Maybe if you could find a copy of the Choice review it might give you a better idea?? original.gif

I hadn't heard, I have a P&T double pram and have had no problems, I love it...

I wonder if mums and bubs still have them? they were the only stockist when we bought ours.

They are a kiwi company and the only time we had a problem with the brake they fixed it in 8 days!

Would be interesting to know more!

Yes, Mum'n'Bubs still stock them and highly recommended them. I was aware they're from New Zealand and that wasn't an issue as they're customer service is fantastic. I read the Choice Review and although there were some bad points, from memory it still did ok. I've only heard good things from owners. Anyway, just thought it was interesting.

oh yeah, that same guy told me that they couldn't order in the adventure buggy for me because it didn't meet aust safety standards and i could be done for manslaughter if my children were killed because of the pram. i came home and did a heap of research into it and all i can say is what a ****ing idiot.

(safety standards for prams are purely voluntary and cost the companies an absolute bomb to have done)

yeah that sounds like the guy! He went on and on about and then said I should buy a bugaboo.
