I previously posted about this name 10 months ago and then became a bit 'nervous' and went off it, probably because its not the style of name i'd normally go for. However of late I haven't been able to get it out of my head!
The name is Theodora. The other girls name that i love and have loved forever is Rumer. Do you think these names 'go?' i know i know, there is no rule saying names have to match but i'm wondering if these are just TOO different from each other??
BlueEyedBeauties
I personally think they are 'very' different and probably wouldnt use them together.. But in saying that, either name isnt my style anyway..

My choice would be Theodora first with a nn of Thea... I am not fussed on Rumor (just a Bruce & Demi name IMO)

Oh Theodora is lovely wub.gif I had it on my list way back when my first son was born, but I couldnt get his father to agree and then he ended up being a boy anyway!

I prefer the nn Teddy to Thea.

I am not keen on Rumer at all. It is a completely different style and does not have the same classic elegance to it.

Theodora is beautiful.

I don't like Rumer, but it would be OK as a MN. Although saying that Theodora Rumer doesn't flow well with them both ending in an 'ah' sound.

I think Theodora is a gorgeous name. Definitely Thea as a nickname - not 'Dora' the Explorer ...
Thea is lovely!

Smilesmum i was just going to say that!!! laughing2.gif

Theodora is a lovely name but i think they will be called Dora, but i think that's cute too!

Like the PP's I really like Theodora, but don't think that Rumer goes well with it.

I really like Theodora with a nickname of Teddy or Dora, Thea I dislike. Rumer is ok, not that I would personally use it, but I also think it is a completely different style of name to Theodora.

I think they are way too different ny like them on their own.
