I was just wondering how much it costs to get married in Canberra? And what needs to be done? I'm not talking the wedding, I'm talking bare minimum to be legally married.

Hi
I am not sure if these costs are still current but we got married 2 1/2 years ago and paid the celebrat $300 and that included the ceremony and all the legal stuff (the celebrant did all that for us) Not sure if you go with a religeous wedding

I think if you just go to the Registrar Generals office and apply for the certificate it is only $33 or something like that.
You have to fill in an intention to marry certificate thingy though too.
