I saw a sign up at our local school, and thought I'd remind you all that preschool enrolments for 2009 open tomorrow, at the primary school attached to the preschool. (I'm talking about public schools here original.gif )

More info here.

Thanks original.gif I've had 1 May on my calendar since the last thread a couple of months ago...

definitely going for full days this time!

Thanks, didn't realise it was tomorrow. (what a bad parent I am!)

I have been so caught up in high school enrolment for 2009!

Don't forget to take the child's birth certificate and immunisation record, and an electricity bill as proof of address (driver's licence is not enough proof).

Enrollment submitted for Holly at Arawang Pre-School.

They were happy to accept only a driver's licence.

We've just come back from enrolling, and they mustn't have had too many others, as they had to fossick around in the cupboards for ages trying to find the forms!

Does it have to be today or is it ongoing from today?
-Leah-
ongoing until don't know when (site doesn't say but does say offers will be made beginning of term 3.)

I think if you're don't live in the area for the school, then your child's position on the list can be important.

Our application is all in as well biggrin.gif . I needed to be quick because we are out of area, however Ethan is at the school so that should help hands.gif . Our pre-school takes 100 kids (4 classes) and already had over 30 applications in ohmy.gif .

I went down to our preschool and they had been mad busy with loads of applications before I even got there at 10am.

Applications close on 20th June

Offers 4th July

Deadline for acceptance of place 1st August

Hope everyone gets the days and school the choose.

I have also put in this morning. When I did DS at Ngunnawal there was about 10 people sitting in the front office waiting for pens. I went o DD classroom and did mine and my application was 5 to be handed it. I have pick Thursday and Friday full days.

Even if you are enrolling at your area preschool, getting in early might be the difference between getting your preference of long v short days.

dh put emelia's name down today and said that they were very disorganised but also that they are predicting our school will be way over-enrolled, so any out of area people hoping to get in at our school in west belco are out of luck

We also enrolled today and the school was happy to take my drivers licence as proof of residency. We are enrolling for the super school which isn't even named yet, so had to put the closing school as our preference. I marked short days, but thinking I may change it, as I will hopefully still have Jackson sleeping and 2 school pickups will disrupt that quite a bit. They were marking what time enrolments were handed in too, amazing that it might come down to the time you put the form in mellow.gif
I can't believe I am doing this again already!

I rang the school and got them to send the forms home with the girls. They said they had a number of ppl take the forms but only a small handful have been returned so far. We are out of area but the girls are at the school. If we don't get long days, DS will have to go locally.
