when they gave their daughter the name ALYXZANDRIA.
I saw this name in the paper a couple of days ago - it was actually the week before lasts Sunday paper but I hadn't gotten around to reading it until this Sunday.
Not only does it have a superfluous Z but also the ever ewneeke Y too. - Classy.

Bugger, to think I could have called my son ALYXZ rather than the boring old Alex he has now.
I'm just waiting for the day that we get an LX or an LXANDRIA.

WOW that is some name - I am all for wanting unique names, but surely the child could individualise a name enough without having to misspell it so extraordinarily bad

As battingeyelashes said a lifetime of having to spell out the name

Wow. I sometimes wonder if occasionaly mothers are still feeling the effects of birthing drugs when naming their children.

Some of the names mentioned here are just bizarre.

I know a boy named Terrance but the mother spelt it
teryans
And another who called their son Alex- and spelt it LX
Yet another one Josiah- spelt Jessyah
And my list goes on.
I can't talk though I give my children names that no one seems to be able to pronounce.

My mum used to teach a boy called Alekzarndah. I kid you not! That was BEFORE creative spelling was fashionable lol.
Apparently the mum didn't want it to get pronounced as alek-zan-der, so she was quite specific in her spelling so it was alek-ZARN-dah. lol
I also know a child at Playgroup whose name is Desterney, but I think it actually might be because the parents didn't know how to spell it
