For those who have or know a Lachlan and have a shortened name for it how do you spell it?
Lachie, Lochie, Lokie or any other way?

We know a few Lachlans.
If it is shortened, mostly they use Lachie but I've seen one use Lochie.

I have only seen Lachie for Lachlan spelt that way. It seems the most logical way also.

I have a Lachlan and I always spell his name Lachie. My friend spells it Lockie which I don't personally like!

Thanks for that. I spell DS's name as Lachie but a friend spells it Lochie so was wondering which was the norm

Our Lachlan is also Lachie. I don't see how a name spelled with an 'a' can be changed to 'o' for Lochie, YK? just doesn't make sense to me!

My Lachlan gets Lockie, just like Lockie Daddo.
I really dislike the spelling Lachie, it just doesnt look right to me

Though it does seem to be the most common n.n.

I have a Lachlan and he is called Lachlan, but if it was ever to get shortened then it would be spelt Lachie.

Mine is a Loch or Lochie
BTW - for the pp who mentioned "Lockie Daddo" - he is actually more commonly shown as Lochie on his professional material.

Part of the confusion is the universal 'mispronunciation' of the name by people outside of Scotland.
Lachlan is not supposed to be pronounced as LOCKLAN as Australians do, it is actually supposed to have more of an 'a' sound in it, with the 'ch' being a much more gutteral sound.

And our Scottish relatives send cards to my son with Loughlin instead of Lachlan.
And they say it like you just described.
