I want to take Ryan away for a beach holiday in November. Anyone had a great experience with accomodation on the south coast they would care to share with me? PM is fine if you don't want to give away your favourite spot to EVERYONE lol.

A caravan park (cabin), motel or apartment very close to the beach is required.

Ta!

We really like Joalah Holiday Park at North Durras. It has ensuite beach front cabins but also caravans with a toilet block nearby if you want to save money.
Lots of bush walks, wildlife, quiet beach, not far from Depot and Pebbly beaches for excursions and just very relaxing.
You do have to bring all your food and drink in though as there's one tiny shop that's not always open. We enjoy that but some people might not.

I stayed recently at the Batemans Bay Beach Resort recently - it was lovely (very new cabins), and being on Corrigans Beach, it is a great kids beach. But they were doing work on the park, and there was no playground - not sure if they have rebuilt one.

At the other end of the same beach is ClydeView Van Park. I have never stayed there, but it looked okay, and is right across the road from the Batehaven shops, and next to a park.

We are planing a holiday to the south coast in feb next year. I have done lots of research on resorts and found the Batemans Bay resort to be the best. They are currently building 2 playgrounds one for smaller children and one for older children. They are a good price and also have a games room. They are very central to shopping centres in batehaven and batemans bay. Hope that helps..

Cheers

Broulee is a lovely spot. The caravan park there is on the beach and they have a variety of cabins avaliable. The beach is also patrolled on weekends so you can swim between the flags. Their website is:

Hi

Does the Batemans Bay Beach Resort have laundry facilities ?

I assume it does, but i have assumed that before and have been wrong about a caravan park.

Thanks

We went to Narooma and stayed at Amooran Court. We had an ocean view, the hotel overlooks the golf course and the beach is a short walk away.

The room had kitchen facilities, the hotel has a heated pool a nice little playrgound.
