Where in Canberra, apart from Pumpkin Patch, DJ's and Myer can you buy nice baby clothes... anywhere worth driving to in the suburbs? I am in inner north

Gold Creek has a couple of interesting stores (I think!). Also, don't Esprit do baby clothes?
Depends what you mean by nice. I personally don't like the fluffy bunnikins stuff so I like Target's range more than the stuff at PP and DJs.

You could have a look at Allen's at d*ckson Shops. They have a great kids section with a lot of brand name gear (Fred Bear, mini minor, spud kids etc).
Espirt have a good baby and kids section.
There's a 'boutique' called Bamboozle in Manuka. Prices are variable - its not all over the top expensive, I've found some real bargains there.
Carlee at Gold Creek seen to have more 'formal' clothing (and I think its a bit dear).
I buy most of DS's stuff at DJ's, Myer, target and Big W, with ocassional buys from Pumpkin Patch and Esprit or Allen's.

HI,
Best n Less at Tugg' Hyperdome is where i find some bargins.
Go-Lo as well sometimes have cheap stuff but u skimp on the quality there though!
Hope that helps.
Unique Boutique in Woden sell some baby clothes, very good quality and cute. They're closing down by Christmas, so they're all on sale.
Also Kingston markets sometimes have stalls with nice home-made baby clothes. Can be nice to have something that's not made in China and being worn by every other kid at childcare.

I'll second Allans...i have bought some gorgeous things from there. They are not overly expensive either.

I would have to highly recommend www.gymboree.com. Not in Canberra I know (!) but their stuff is very cute, heaps better quality than Pumpkin Patch, Bonds etc and unique. I only buy items on sale (join their mailing list to get an early warning) and the prices end up being similar or less than PP on sale! (including postage from the US). I have had two orders from Gymboree this year for my 2 year old DS and am very happy with the clothes. Watch the sizing on the sleepwear though - US safety standards ensure that all nightwear is very snug-fitting.
Kind regards, Christine
