I hve joined Fernwood at Gungahlin and I was wondering who else has joined.

I asked them today about childminding and it will be

SATURDAY 9AM TO 12PM WITH 1.5 HOUR SESSIONS.

I can't wait for it to open.

Hey - i am a member as Belconnen & Gungahlin are owned by the same people, so you can use either. Since i am PG again i won't use it - as i am just too tired and busy!! I might go down and check it out though when it opens. What does it open?

I'll be fighting for some of those childminding sessions lol.

Orientation is the last week of October with sessions etc starting from the 4 November I think (well thats when I have to start paying).

Though I'm a bit confused since I was a member of Belconnen years ago and they actually offered a 6 weekly weigh in/measurement reassessment of programme type thing and it seems as though this won't be happening here now sad.gif But the fancy booklet makes it out as though they will be....hmmm I'll just have to be that extra bit motivated or just do classes (now that would be funny - I'm so unco)

Hi

I too am planning on joining. What membership deals did you get, I have heard that the basic membership is $50 per month, is this correct?

I've joined as well. It was a toss up between Flames at North Lyneham which is slightly cheaper and you always have a personal trainer but there's only limited activites that you can do (ie no circuits, aerobics etc - just weights and bikes/rowing and boxing) and the sessions generally run for 60-90 mins vs Fernwood which is more expensive, more variety and 5 mins less to drive and with classes that have set finishing times. Hopefully I've made the right decision!
