Ok with my FDC problem and the shortage of FDC placements for two children. I’m left with occasional care for two kids at a flat rate of 64.75 per day per child. (Apparently the good news is I can claim some of that back at tax time, yeah great I’ll try and remember that in 9 months.)

So being this is what I’m left with, I was thinking if I could find someone, does anyone know a nanny or a babysitter (must have first aid certificate and current police check) who they could recommend who would be interested in 5 days work. I live Southside.

With Alex we have been very lucky, DP’s work hooked us up with discounted child care (is there anything working at parliament house can’t give you? To all those people reading this who work at parliament house, I’m so so jealous of all the extras you guys get)

But that care won’t start until the 17th. Megan is probably going to continue with occasional care until we find a place.

So if you could make a recommendation on someone who would be interested please email me. ANY suggestions at all, please.

For those who don’t know my FDC problem was my carer gave us notice because she wasn’t “coping” with all the children she had taken on (four in total).
