i looove the name Simone and would love to call this baby that but Dh says it is too similar to our last name (Sim*****). do you think this is a problem? should i give up on it and find something else? any suggestions for middle names or other different but not too out there girls names?

ok giving it a miss....new name on second page of thread for your opinion?
LittleDCJ
Sorry, but I do think they are too similar. I could see her being called Sim Sim as a nn.
pramobsessed
is that so bad a nickname? that is exactly what Dh said lol. it doesnt seem any worse than any other nickname to me?
fifi-trixibelle

i don't think the nn is too bad, but personally I wouldn't do it. To me I would put it in the category of John Johnson etc

Hey Fifi-Trixibelle -- I'm glad you like Alice! biggrin.gif

I don't think there's a problem with it. Famous people have changed their names to make it sound different/catchy or memorable. I personally would see if there are any other names out there that I like but if there's nothing and you keep going back to that then it was probably meant to be?
Rebecca1977
I personly think that it is to similar. But if you like it go for it wub.gif !
Maisy..
I think it is too similar, sorry!
Divine53
Have to agree way to similar.
clumpy
Sorry, I think it's too close. fifi-trixibelle has made some great alternative suggestions.

I tend not to base my decisions on what 'famous people' do. If we all did that, Colombia would have the world's strongest economy... wink.gif

I feel it is way too close as well! What are your other children's names? Is Simone a similar style?
pramobsessed
oh well i guess i will give it a miss then.

my other kids are Antonia, Gabriella and Henry.

what do you think of Cadence? (Cady for a nn) any suggestions for a middle name to go with it? i thought Olivia but i am obsessed with meanings of names and Olivia just didn't cut it in the meanings department for me. fussy huh? any other suggestions for names that go well with what we have already? baby is a girl btw original.gif oh and i have a neice called Keeley so that is out as well.
fifi-trixibelle
I wouldn't personally use Cadence but its ok and goes well with your other children's names. I really like Olivia though but it ends the same as Antonia so I personally would not use them for siblings.

How about Cadence Olivia? It sounds nice.

Other middle names:
Cadence Estelle
Cadence Audrey
Cadence Eloise
Cadence Zara
Cadence Alana/Alannah
Cadence Isabelle
Cadence Lillian
Cadence Juliet
Cadence Amelia
