my 5yo has a wart on her hand. Do they freeze them at this age or is that too traumatic? Do the chemist drops/bandaids actually work?
Thanks

have you tired banana peel??
sounds weird i know but my mum swore by it and it worked for my brothers
just enough peel (gooey side on the wart) to cover it and chuck a bandaid over it

DD#1 had one on her foot when she was 4 years old and they had to freeze it off twice, it's very painful and I had to hold her down

(though mainly incase she kicked the dr in the head) but it went away!!

DS turned 4 and had a wart frozen off his big toe - took us about 6 weeks of weekly visits before it went away. Sucking a jelly bean seemed to help, and yes, you do need to hold them still! Good luck.

I had this done when i was 10 had a cluster frozen off the bottom off my foot. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy let alone do it to my child. The pain is excruciating
Think of sitting there with someone burning you with a lighter that's what it feels like. Having a tattoo tickles compared to this..
Personal choice i guess but i know myself if my dd was to get a wort i would be trying EVERYTHING under the sun before putting her though that pain. I couldn't imagine what the pain would be like to a child

My DD1 had one frozen off the sole of her foot when she was 7yrs. It was absolutely AWFUL! We tried to get rid of it without resorting to freezing it but nothing worked.
She had 5 weekly visits before it went away. So not only did she have the pain of it being frozen, she knew it would happen all over again the following week.
Definately try everything else first. Even if it takes a long time.

may sound strange but have you heard of colloidal silver? (not sure of spelling lol) You can get it from health shops. Its good for many things but is definatly good at getting rid of warts with NO pain and leaves no scars!! Ive tried it and got my friends to try it and it really works. Is worth a try before going through the pain anyway,
Just dab it on as many times as you can think of it through the day for as long as it takes to dissapear. Doesnt take too long from memory> HTH
