Hi everyone!
My daguhter soon will be one year old and she started to walk. I need to by a shoes for her but I don't know which one.
Could you recommend a good brand and where to by them.
I looked in DJ and Mayer but couldn't find anything.
Is there any store in Canberra which is specialised in babies shoes.
Thanks!

Hi - i know there is a baby shoe shop at Belconnen Mall. It is really good. I know they do have "first walkers" there for babies. Not sure of the brands - but i do know that Baby Paws is a great brand.

I liked the shop called "Ecco" on the top floor of the Canberra centre - but they aren't prewalkers.
I recently found this website
http://www.robeez.com.au which specialises in prewalkers and have some pretty cool designs.
When I was looking I found it really hard to find what I wanted, and they're so expensive as well. Oh well,

the shop is called bobo. but don't go on a saturday morning unless you've got a spare hour or two...
myer in the city has a bigger rnage of babypaws etc, plus they're pretty easy to find online. i prefer to buy from myer as they often have really good sales...

There are a couple of places you can try.
Bobos which is upstairs at Belconnen Mall. they sell excellent quality shoes but be careful with the fitter some are not so good anymore.
Bets and Betts are supposed to have some good fitters in the Mall now.
Little Feet in the city, located outside the Mall down from where Medicare used to be (what is that place called)?
They are getting an excellent reputation for fitting shoes well and again sell great quality shoes.

I second Little Feet in Civic. I have had a lot of trouble getting shoes to fit Aiden and this has been the only place that has even been remotely helpful, everywhere else has left little to be desired.

My big surprise for kids' shoes has been Athlete's Foot. My dh is a chiropractor and *really* mean about what shoes the children can wear (he's not at all swayed by how cute some of them can be if they don't have the right fit!), and he thinks the best fitters are at Athlete's Foot.
He finally talked me into trying them for the childrens' school shoes, and I have to admit they were reasonably priced and very good fitters (although I still miss Tania and Rosie that used to work at BoBos).
Anyway, they don't have prewalkers, but they have some *very* cute real toddler shoes. Jessica's only just started walking, so I'll keep her in socks and supermarket soft shoes for another few weeks then might have to treat us to some stylish new toddler runners!

Thanks for that tip Kristen i will definately keep it in mind. My DS pronates so wears inserts in his shoes and i find it hard to shoes for him.
I am already stressing over where to get Brielles shoes. Kids with DS get shoes before they can walk because of the LMT and hypermobility they need the extra support to learn to stand. Apparently it is very hard to get them shoes. I know one lady who paid $225 for one pair of custom made shoes for her DD in a size 1 LOL

Argh - that's EXPENSIVE!!!! My dh has all the children in orthotics (except Jessica, but I don't suppose it'll be long LOL!) which means we can get away with cheaper shoes. Our children all have narrow feet, so I used to have to buy from a limited expensive range at Bobos, but the orthotics actually increase the range of shoes that will fit - and mean some of the cheap chinese imported shoes are now an option. I hope whatever orthotics you get make it easier not harder to find Brielle shoes!
