Looking through baby name websites, (yes I am hopeless, only 4.5 weeks and looking at names already

) and noticed the name Ava (which I know is very popular) and was wondering how do YOU pronounce it.
A lot of websites say it has the 2 different pronunciations, so which one do you use/like? Which one do you think is the more common pronunciation?
A-va (saying the a, as in the letter 'A')
or
Ah-va/Ar-va (where the A sound is more drawn out)
Just wondering!

thanks girls, I love it pronounced Ay-va, but pronounced Ah-va it sounds like someone with a speech impediment trying to say Arthur! Maybe its an American pronunciation?
Okay, will put that one on my list, only 36 weeks to go LMAO

I love the name Ava
- pronounced Ay-vah. In fact, we have chosen Ava Rose for this baby if it is a girl. I haven't heard it pronounced any other way.
Having said that, I hadn't thought of the nick-name "Ava the Misbehaver", until I read one of the previous posts
Cheers,
Deanne.
