My 11 1/2 month old DS sleeps mostly all through the night, at the most he wakes 3 times for a dummy or a bottle. He then usually calls out between 6.30 and 7am. He gets to day care at 9am and half an hour later he is tired again wanting to go back to bed.
He then sleeps for around 3 hours ( today alot longer). he gets home at 3.30pm and is tired again!!!! Is this normal? Seems to me like he has enough sleep that he shouldnt be tired like this. In between sleeps he is fairly active.

Does anyone elses baby do this at around the same age?

My sister reckons the only reason her now 14 year old gave up his two hour midday sleep was because he had to go to school. I wouldn't worry too much as long as he is happy and active inbetween sleeps.

Wow, lucky you! DD has decided that she only needs 1x 1 hour nap in the middle of the day now. Sigh, makes for a very cranky little girl in the evenings original.gif

I think he probably just is so active he tires himself out. I say, enjoy it!

When my oldest son was 2 he was still having 2 long sleeps a day. It was great as it was the same time my daughter was born and they had sleeps at the same time.
Sometimes he would sleep for 2 to 3 hours each sleep and still sleep all night.
I wouldnt worry about it.
