Having never contracted before I am not quite sure how it all works.

Karen - if you go through one like Achieve Corp or CAL they should be able to look after everything for you.

If you'd like contact names and phone numbers I can PM you my DH's email address.

Hi Karen,

I am agree with weetangamama, Achieve Corp or Consultants Exchange (I think they trade as CXC, not to be confused with CSC) will be able to help you with latest advice on contractor management / payment / insurance / payroll tax exemption / etc.

If you are after an IT recruitment company (to find you a role), I used to work for Paxus (about 2 years ago) and can thoroughly recommend them. My contractor management company knowledge is also 2 years old.

Happy contracting!
