Hi everyone,

I've just been on the AMBA site and found this bit of helpful info about ABC prams:

"ABC prams - NOTICE TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE THEM!!

Ok, so BJ and I were speaking at the last get-together at Lilydale lake and we have both found that the front wheels on the ABC prams have gotten harder and harder to steer over time. We've also struggled a bit with the knobs on the side of the prams (which actually make them 79cm wide)... So, I decided to email Phil and this is what he said:

1. Wheel greasing:
Hi Lisa,Thankyou for your email. Ensuring your swivel wheel returns to it's earlier ease of maneuvrability is very simple. The ABC swivel wheels require regular lubricating. This is due to the fact that the swivel wheels are removable and we can't apply grease as other manufacturers do. The product we recommend is called "Dry Lube".This is a whitish, waxy substance - and comes in stick-form similar to a crayon. You can purchase from most automotive part retailers. This product always returns the maneuverability of the swivel wheels to as original. The Dry lube is applied to the actual swivel shaft - which is the part which actually swivels. You have to remove the wheels to apply to this area of the swivel shaft. Please refer to photo's attached below to illustrate. Other factors which will assist the enhanced maneuverability are;1) Correct tyre inflation - 30 psi. If you can squeeze the tyres easily - they are too soft. 2) Using the handle at the fully extended position. This increases the leverage of the buggy and increases the ease of pushing.

2. Knobs on side of pram
Dear Lisa,Further to your email regards buggy width. The buggy is supplied at 79cm's width. The additional length is due only to the protruding Tri-knobs which the safety bar and canopy frames pivot on. Please refer to the photos attached. Quite simply, the bolt can be removed from the plastic head - and it is the removal of the bolt's plastic "head" which reduces the buggy to 74cm width. Please note: there is a locking nut on the inside of the buggy securing the Tri-knob bolt, and this must be removed before unscrewing. Please ask for further assistance is necessary.

I hope this info is helpful to anyone who is going to buy or already has the ABC pram... Mine is now working a treat and is skinnier than ever!"

So I hope that helps someone who has or is thinking of buying the ABC pram.
