~2boys~
ok... so I only have 3 weeks approx till our 3rd bub arrives.

We don't know if it is a boy or a girl, but we do have a boys name set.

Just wondering which name people prefer for a girl:

Maya Elizabeth
Maya Juliet
Alexis June

All 3 middle names are family names.

Ta!!!

Alexis for sure. It can be shortened to Lexie or Lex wub.gif
~~JMC~~
Love the name Alexis. It was on our list when DD was born.

Alexis Elizabeth would be my choice and I wouldn't shorten it.
fifi-trixibelle
I love Alexis. I'm not keen on June but Alexis Juliet wub.gif sounds beautiful.

I like Maya too but only pronounced May-ah but it can also be pronounced other ways which puts me off it a bit.
MissDemeanor
Alexis I don't like Maya at all.
Mich78
They are both really nice names but I really like Alexis.

and i agree with JMC - like Alexis Elizabeth.

Maya is very common name now - still love it though but Alexis is very sweet! Maybe you could wait til he/she pops out - you may take one look at her and she may look like a Maya or Alexis! tongue.gif

Maya wub.gif

Maya Juliet would be my fav from your list. By the way i prefer Maya pronounced My-a

I've never been a fan of Alexis sorry

I like, in order:
Maya Juliet wub.gif wub.gif
Maya Elizabeth
Alexis June

FWIW I prn Maya - My-a

I am not a fan of Alexis. How about Alyssa June? Alessandra June? Alexandra June?

Divine53
wub.gif Alexis. But i would use one of your other middle names.
ratbags
Hmm I like Maya prn May - ah, not a real huge fan of Alexis but I love the nn of Lexie.

Good luck with your birth and welcoming your daughter.

MY name is alexis so i have to go with it but i prefer lexi , i do love having a name that in my generation is rare and i think alexis juliet sounds the best.
Cat's Pyjamas
I like both, but prefer Maya.
2FairyGirls
i like maya spelt maia - esp if you want to pronounce it "may-uh". i dislike the pronunciation "my-uh" - it sounds like a department store!

alexis is pretty but the nickname she could get might be alex which is too masculine for my liking
Devi
Another vote for Alexis Juliet. Fabulous name.
~Acacia~
Absolutely love Maya, it is on my name list.
Pronounced May-uh though.
So Maya Elizabeth is my pick.
~obsidian~
ALEXIS!
It's on our "next baby name list if we ever have one", and love your middle name choices - one is my name!

eta my best friend in Kindy was called Maija (May-yah) and I always said my daughter would be Maija...but something better came along the day she was born!
megmog
Maya Elizabeth sounds beautiful. I would also prn it May - ah.
springbub
Alexis sounds a bit too 80's and harsh for me. I prefer Alexandra.

I like Maya Juliet the best pr M-ya.
Edinburgh
I like Maya Elizabeth best.

Good luck with your 3rd.

ALEXIS!!! but then i am bias.. it will be our DD's name when we have her
one~of~me
fwiw i have never been called alex and i would have killed my mum if she called me alexandra .
Kristina13
Alexis reminds me too much of watching Joan Collins in Dynasty! ph34r.gif Yes, sorry showing my age here! it sounds too harsh imo,

I like Maya Elizabeth best -much more feminine

All the best,
elegie
I like Maya pronounced Ma-ya, ie. short 'a' sound in both syllables, not elongated 'y' sound like the department store. Although I suppose with a broad Aussie accent it would turn into Myer...

I really dislike it pron May-a.

I don't like Alexis, but that may be because the only Alexis I've know was a guy.
Penny*Penny*Penny
Hi,

I am a little biased as my DD is Mya Ann.

Not pronouced like the department store!
My-a is not My-yer

And even if it was Big Deal!

I really wanted to spell it Maia but couldnt convince DH.

My pick from your list is Maya Elizabeth!

Good Luck with what eva you decide!
