For information -
I just picked up a flyer for the Play School Concerts that are going to be on around Canberra from November 6 - 9. All tickets are $9.90 and under 12 months is free.
This is the quote from the flyer
"Songs, games and stories. Its...Play School! Featuring two well loved presenters plus the toys from the popular television show. This show is full of active participation".

Yay! My 16mo turns into a complete zombie when I put Play School on - maybe this is a live event she'll actually enjoy!

I went to this last year and it was GREAT! No prams allowed though - you can leave them out in the foyer, but you can't see them, so if you have a fancy one you might not want to bring it.
Our Christmas Angel is growing so fast!

Well, good thing I just got a new sling (I'll hopefully be taking a 2mo with me).
Checked the ABC Events website and they have nothing on Play School concerts in NSW or ACT - only SA and WA.

I just tried to buy some tickets for Wests. You cant buy them through the 1300 at all. You cant buy them over the phone through wests. You have to actually go in and pay cash to get the tickets.
Thought this might save someone some time.

Hello lovely ladies
My 3 month old seems to love listening to the Play School nursery rhymes(sp?), he will be 5 months old when the concert is on, would he be too young to go along? If not it looks like I will be replacing the The Bangles concert with Play School, what a hoot!!
Sorry if it is a daffed question, but I am totally new to all this mother stuff, but loving every minute of it!
Thanks in advance
Lucy

I don't know that I'd bother at 5mo. My girl loves listening to classical music. When she was about a year old I tried taking her to a special Baby Mozart concert - she was too distracted by watching the pre-schoolers to pay attention to the music, and after 30mins got her crankypants on and wanted out. We're going to try the Play School concert as she's got a better attention span now (16mo) but if she has a crankypants day, I guess we'll be leaving early again.
