after many arguments and EB posts, DP and I may have stumbled upon a name for DD#2....

Juno

it has a lovely meaning, it is strong, it is not common, we can get past the movie connection.

Hit us with your thoughts!
riwymk
I don't know what I think as i can't get past the movie.
It does have a lovely meaning though.

If you like it, i say go ahead.
fifi-trixibelle
I'm not at all keen on it sorry. It sounds very masculine for a girl IMO.
Devi
The movie will be a distant memory in 2 years time.

It's a beautiful name...very unusual and distinctive and special.

Go for it.

original.gif Fifi-Trixibelle; I did have a giggle when I saw your comment about "Juno" sounding masculine, and then I noticed how girly-feminine your username was! I guess I like my names to be fairly unfrilly!
Battingeyelashes
Is it pronounced with the J or is it silent?

It is quite a funky name yyes.gif
rose-gardener
Lovely name. original.gif
SmallPotatoes
love it! original.gif

I am not a huge fan, but I do like June nn Juno - go figure eh? laughing2.gif

Lotus
TBH it reminds me too much of has been rocker "Juno Roxas" (male) blush.gif

The movie name association is a bit of a turn-off, too..
KylieC
Not a fan either I'm afraid, but as you can see I'm into classic pretty girls names, so I'm probably not the best one to give advice in this situation! If you love it, go with it!

Kylie
~Bloom~
Sorry, but I don't like it at all. I am with PP, it sounds very masculine.
Lambie
Like it original.gif I would team it with a very girly middle name though.

Do you mind if I ask what your DD1's name is?
Bami
At first you will get a lot of comments about it being from the movie etc, but I think it's nice.
Divine53
Not a fan.
mymerrymen
I love it and it will be our new arrivals middle name. wub.gif its got a beautiful meaning and i like good strong names.
token
Yes I love it. In fact I started a Juno thread here about 12 months ago and got lots of positive responses.

Still not pregnant though.
stickybabyvibes
I say if u like it, go for it!!!!

Its the name you'll have to call for the rest of ur life so should be something YOU & DH like wub.gif

But I say 'go for it' grin.gif
twistedmama
Love it wub.gif
lindyloo03
I dont mind it actually and the movie connection will not last long.

Go with what you and your DH feel.
Edinburgh
If you think that it is the one then you should go for it - what you are your DH think is the most important name.

It is not my choice for a girl but I am another girly name fan and my choices would probably not be your choice either.

Mel
Shooting*Star
Is it a boys name?
mbandjkmum
mummy to a princess - no its not a boys name. It is the name of an ancient Roman Goddess!

Our daughters name is a 'nann' name so we wanted something that was old to match. But we found if we picked another nanna name they sounded to much like a pair (IYKWIM) so we think this name will work well!
hoffmanj81
I like it. They may have a field day with it on the playground juno, but I think its a wonderfully unique, strong name. I agree with pp about adding a feminine middle name.
JustLynn
I like it a great deal.
token
OP if you wanted to get kre8tive, you could spell it Juneau, which is the capital of Alaska.
*chan*
I love it!!
anon60
Makes me think of street in Bankstown (I think) - Juno Parade
**JODES**
NMS....it sounds a little too boyish to me original.gif.
I have never heard of the movie "Juno"...am I missing something? huh.gif

If you and your DH like it though, that's what matters original.gif.

Jodes XOXOX

It was an American teen targeted movie that came out earlier this year, about a pregnant teenager.
ratbags
At least you won't have 10 Juno's in her class which is always a positive. Is it pronounced Jun - O? Sorry for being a dipstick

NMS, though I prefer more girly and traditional names original.gif
