after many arguments and EB posts, DP and I may have stumbled upon a name for DD#2....
Juno
it has a lovely meaning, it is strong, it is not common, we can get past the movie connection.
Hit us with your thoughts!

I don't know what I think as i can't get past the movie.
It does have a lovely meaning though.
If you like it, i say go ahead.

I'm not at all keen on it sorry. It sounds very masculine for a girl IMO.

The movie will be a distant memory in 2 years time.
It's a beautiful name...very unusual and distinctive and special.
Go for it.

Fifi-Trixibelle; I did have a giggle when I saw your comment about "Juno" sounding masculine, and then I noticed how girly-feminine your username was! I guess I like my names to be fairly unfrilly!

Is it pronounced with the J or is it silent?
It is quite a funky name

TBH it reminds me too much of has been rocker "Juno Roxas" (male)
The movie name association is a bit of a turn-off, too..

Not a fan either I'm afraid, but as you can see I'm into classic pretty girls names, so I'm probably not the best one to give advice in this situation! If you love it, go with it!

Sorry, but I don't like it at all. I am with PP, it sounds very masculine.

Like it

I would team it with a very girly middle name though.
Do you mind if I ask what your DD1's name is?

At first you will get a lot of comments about it being from the movie etc, but I think it's nice.

Yes I love it. In fact I started a Juno thread here about 12 months ago and got lots of positive responses.
Still not pregnant though.

If you think that it is the one then you should go for it - what you are your DH think is the most important name.
It is not my choice for a girl but I am another girly name fan and my choices would probably not be your choice either.

Is it a boys name?

mummy to a princess - no its not a boys name. It is the name of an ancient Roman Goddess!
Our daughters name is a 'nann' name so we wanted something that was old to match. But we found if we picked another nanna name they sounded to much like a pair (IYKWIM) so we think this name will work well!

I like it. They may have a field day with it on the playground juno, but I think its a wonderfully unique, strong name. I agree with pp about adding a feminine middle name.

.
I have never heard of the movie "Juno"...am I missing something?
If you and your DH like it though, that's what matters

It was an American teen targeted movie that came out earlier this year, about a pregnant teenager.

At least you won't have 10 Juno's in her class which is always a positive. Is it pronounced Jun - O? Sorry for being a dipstick
