Hi everyone
I've heard somewhere that there is a playgroup which operates somewhere near the Tuggeranong Hyperdome. Does anyone have any details on this - ie exact location, contact number, times, cost, age groups offered etc?
I rely on buses as I can't drive (visual impairment) and would like to take my kids to some sort of playgroup - once a week?? I don't work so am not looking for childcare as such. I need somewhere close to my bus route (and I mean really close) and the Hyperdome would be great. I have a 2.8yo and 15 month old. Can they both go to the same playgroup and I presume parents can stay during the activities - as I rely on buses I'll hardly be going home.
Hope someone out there has some info.
Thanks again everyone.

Its near maccas the building next door. Im sorry i cant remember the name. If you are looking at maccas from the footpath its to the left in between the library and maccas.
Im pretty sure that its on at 9.30 Fridays. You just walk up the ramp and its in one of the rooms. I have been once and the people are very welcoming and really nice. I cant go now because of work commitments.
Im sure that one of the other girls could tell you more.

Hi,
The one that the previous poster is talking about it the comms@work playgroup.
Myself and another Eb'er go to this one. It ok, in that its a small room, no outside area. But other then that its ok.
I'm not sure where the bus stop is down there but if you court the bus to the interchange and walked though the parking lot, you'd be there.
It only costs a gold coin to get in. All children under 5 I think are welcome.
Parents stay with there children.
Its Firday's from 9.30am to 11.30am. You also need to bring your own food for both parents and children, although there is a cafe' so you could always buy something. I never have (the idea of eating or drinking hot room in a small room filled with children scares me).
If you have anymore questions about this playgroup just pm me. there are PGA playgroups but you need to pay $28 per family to go here (which would work out cheaper) I think there is a number in the yellow pages

Thanks for that. That's very helpful. Now I've just got to get the kids on the bus - what fun!!
Take care
