Does anyone know of a nice place to stay down the coast? Around the Batemans Bay area I guess.. I will be travelling with a 6 month old. Its just for a few nights - maybe a nice cabin on the beach but not too expensive..... Any ideas welcome........ thanks

I have just come back from staying at Murramurang Resort for a few days (have stayed there abou 4 times now) - and again it was a lovely stay. Not overly cheap if you want a cabin right on the beach - but even the other garden cabins are only a short walk to the water. We always stay in the cabins on the beach - love the views! Here are some other links for around that area.....

Hope this helps.....

I asked a similar question not so long ago and a kind EB'er recommended Bannister's Point Lodge. I've been racking my brains trying to remember who it was so that I could PM them and THANK them for a wonderful recommendation. It was FANTASTIC!!!! We loved it!
They have a website -

Coach House.
They are great. Great staff, almost in the center of the bay. Across the road from the Golf club. The coach house also has a great beach for guests.
DS just loves to run around on the beach, as its flat and unless its high tide there is very little water in there.
Ohh there is a great beach for little ones in broulee <sp> its a tidal 'pool'. most locals know it well. And its always best to avoid casey's beach with little ones, the water gets deep very fast.
I love Batemans Bay. But my family all live down there now, so its more like a second home for us.
