Hi there!
I can certainly recommend Michael Madden in Manuka (not in 'woden' but not far away....) and John Sanderson in Deakin.......

That said, I am NOT sure whether they both take new patients.....worth a try though!
Good luck

I have heard some good recommendations for the doctors at Mawson. Only problem is they only take new patients in their area. I am in Kambah, just over the hill and they wouldn't accept me. If you live in the region, you might have luck though.
Chifley Family Practice is great, especially Dr Rodney Evans.

I cannot praise highly enough our family doctor, Tamara Punchihewa at the Valley Medial Centre, at Garran (behind the Canberra Hospital - next to the blood bank).
She has young kids - and is very up on paediatric issues.
Also the centre has about 5 other doctors who you can usually see if she is not available.
The centre opens seven days and late at night, and is a participant in the CALMS program - so you can see a doctor there if its after hours.

I would second the Chifley Medical Centre. Depending on whether you are after a doctor for yourself or your children:
DS (27 months old) sees Patrick Leerdam - he is great with kids (has three children of his own). DS didn't even hold a grudge after his latest injection! We have seen Rodney Evans once (when PL was away) and he seems very good too. I see Sue Morris at the same centre - she has been excellent - I have been seeing her for a number of years.
Cheers, Christine

Renata Kruger at Tuggeranong Family Medical Practice is my GP. I love her. She has a young family and totally "gets" what it is to be a woman with a family in Canberra.
Jenny Brown at Kambah. Others here have recommended Jenny. She also totally "gets" stuff too.
