My DD is 5 and at night when she is asleep she grinds her teeth really badly. It actually wakes me up some nights and we sleep in separate rooms. I'm scared she is going to break a tooth.
Any way to stop this happening?

my nephew does that best place to start is see a dentist see if its caused any damage and get a mouth guard or something from them to help

It's often considered an old wives tale these days, but I've always known teeth grinding (at night) to be associated with intestinal worms - it's easily treated, so it might be worth checking if she has any other symptoms. shrug.gif

Thanks for your replies I have booked her into the dentist and also given her worm tablets tonight so will see how they both go. She has done this every since I can remember but the last few weeks she has been getting worse.
Thanks again. I never would have even thought worms might cause it.
