My son is very fussy, he doesn't eat any fruit and the only vegetable he eats is pumpkin soup. When we give him food, if there is anything on his plate he doesn't like he starts screaming and crying, tries to push the plate away, we tell him just eat what he wants but he still carries on. I never offer him anything else, try not to talk about the food....and he never gets dessert if he doesn't eat his dinner...sometimes when he is desperate and wants dessert he goes back and tries to eat 1 tiny bit of his dinner (which is all we require is for him to taste it)...then he vomits everywhere...I now cook 1 meal for me and my partner and another for my children because I can't eat with them because it is stressful - any suggestions??????
I forgot to mention he is four and has been like this his whole solid eating life

my DS is very simular. Have you been to a paed and talked about your worries with them? my DS has reguarly seen a speech therapist for his eating troubles and they go through ways in to help them that is a great place to start for you. Make meal times fun too all of you eat together and try not to stress, just put a plate in front of him he doesnt eat it's ok, my DS will actually starve himself if he doesn't like something or throw up too. I think you should start by asking a speech therapist that deals with food issues for help.

Thanks, I will, i tried to do a fussy eating course and it made no difference, i hadn't thought of a speech pathologist, but I will certainly give it a go (every says he will grow out of it but he doesn't seem to be and it is impacting on everyone else at meal time)
thanks

good luck with it

its defiently worth a try, didn't work for my DS but it doesnt mean it wouldn't for yours. It is at a point with my DS is they tell me to give him at least one meal a day i know his going to eat (he lost alot of weight as he refused to eat anything at one stage)
