Does anyone know if it snowed in canberra today??
Im in the Inner North area and I'm sure I saw snow falling about an hour ago... It certainly feels cold enough for snow

Hi Josie
Well here in North Cooma (Banks actually) there is certainly snow visible on the hills. When I went to the shops a moment ago I guess you could say it is sleeting.
Frrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing!
Bring on Summer I say (it's times like this I miss Qld)

Yep,
I just got a very excited call from my ex-Queensland DH who was looking out his window in the city watching the snow fall. Talk about making his day!!!!
It's fine down south but it feels like it's getting colder as the afternoon goes on.
Cheers,
Nicola

It was snowing here in Weston Creek too. Light but definitely there. My dogs were a little confused by it all but very glad that I had left their coats on for a change, lol.
A pity DS was aleep ... he hasn't seen snow yet.
Cheers,
Helen.

Did anyone see the Brindabellas this morning? They were soooo covered in snow that I pulled up on Cotter Road just to stare in awe at them. A beautiful sight that's for sure.

Cheers,
Helen.

Hard to believe its nearly spring!!!!!!!
No I didn't see the Brindabellas this morning, by the time I went out at 2pm they weren't there.
It snowed lightly in Deakin at 3.20pm and again at TCH at 5pm but by the time I left TCH to drive to Duffy at 5.15pm it was snowing heavily and was still on the ground in the top part of Duffy.
There was snow at our place against fences and on metal rooves and our washing - showed up really well on dark blue sheets :| - also the lawn behind the house that never gets sun in winter was white.
In 16 years I have seen snow fall in suburban Canberra only a handful of times.

I was at work this afternoon (hyperdome) and it was coming down really thick for about 20 minutes. I opened the door and just stood there looking at it for ages.
It started in Kambah at about 1:00 also and was snowing on and off all day.
DH sms'd me at about 11:30 saying that it was snowing in the city too...

Where we are in Kambah it snowed lots
around 5pm. There is still a lot of snow on our deck now! I
couldn't see across the valley to Fadden Hills this arvo it was
snowing so much (and the snow on the hills across there
stayed there at least until it got dark)! I was VERY
excited........I've not seen much of the fluffy white stuff so I got
it on video, digital camera, and I called DH at work and gave
him a running commentary :-). I let DD loose on the deck in it
and she was reaching up for it and trying to eat it! The look
on her face was priceless.
MORE SNOW PLEASE :-)

There is still snow up here at Mt Stromlo - although it is only a light covering. My DD wasn't too sure of it last night!

I looked at the window yesterday after I saw Nicola's post and think I live in City but no snow here :quest: . few mins later, yes....it was snowing!! Dasha and I watched from balcony window with joy. We saw snow last winter on the way to Sydney but just a little. And yesterday...wow....feel like christmas in Russia or christmas come early LOL. Btw...I forgot to take pictures

. Hopefully will be snowing again sometimes soon.

We drove up to Corin Forest today (the actual recreation park is not open). There was enough snow for the kids to have a great time in!

Yep, we took Luke up this afternoon too. He had a great time! Make sure you take an dry change of clothes and dry socks and slippers for the whole family or you will be in for an uncomfortable ride home.
