DD and I are meeting DH today for lunch after he finishes a meeting at Belco in the Churches Centre.
Any recommendations of a good cafe within close walking distance???

there's one oh hang on, which is the churches centre?
The ugly building on Benjamin Way just up from the mall carpark - where the overpass goes to the bus interchange.

ahhh the closest is probably the one under the ABS but i'm not sure what it's like. i was going to suggest the one that's up near the library (near the church up there).

Black Pepper is nice, on the street opposite the lakeside carpark at Westfield IFKWIM.

DH works at ABS and is not impressed with the cafe there. I think it is all pre cooked food and kept warm.
Black Pepper is a bit of a walk but would be better.
cheers

I know it is too late but we always go to the cafe in Myer. I find it easy with a toddler.

The large Deli/Cafe near the Woolworth's/Cole's side of the mall always made a very good coffee, the shop has been there for years. It's near the newsagent and pharmacy opposite the escalator.

Oooh thanks for the tip Nat!
I am going there this arvo to get out of the house and could do with a decent coffee
I know the one you mean, they make a great roast roll for $5.00. I am going to the nice chemist near there to get Maisie some boots, the poor child is such a dag
Thanks girls - we went to the ABS cafe.
DD and I rode there and I am so proud of her! We went from Dixon Drive, Duffy to just near the Glenloch Interchange end of Caswell Drive on the dirt!! It was 14.5km all up and I just got back from riding home by myself.

Having worked at the ABS for many years, I really don't like the ABS one. It all seems to be very processed food kept warm all day or heated in a microwave. Yucko. I think the ABS cafe in the old building as better (and it wasn't that crash hot either!)
I'd second or third Black Pepper. Our favourite in Belconnen is Indian - not sure if that is what you are looking for for lunch though. There is an Indian place (our 2nd favourite) on the street opposite the lake apartments that goes around to the library. Sorry that is not a very good description!
Oops - just seen you have already been!
