Boy its been a long time since Ive asked a question here. It seems like a trivial one but I cant get it out of my head.
My little DS 4 years old has just started pre school this year. It looks like his best friend at pre school is a little girl. He has hooked up with her and they play together all the time (for the past couple of weeks anyway). Should I worry about this? Or should I just be pleased he has someone?

He has a found a friend with similar interests. Maybe the other boys in the group are boring or just not fun to him.
This is common in this age gp. I am a Kinder teacher.

Oh thank you for your responses. I guess I just expected him to be one of the boys. I actually have 3 boys and he is the eldest. Maybe he is just sick of boys!!!
I feel much better now knowing its quite normal at this age.

DD's best two friends at preschool are boys. They are both children we have known since she was under 2y (one pre-pg). Doesn't worry me at all.
When I ask her which children she plays with at preschool she gives me a pretty even mix of boy and girl names. Her class is very boy-heavy tho (15 or 16 out of 23).

Why would you be worried? I think that's lovely.
