Someone suggested the name Freya to me the other day and the more I think about it, the more I think I quite like it. Just have DH to convince!
Any thoughts on this name?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the name Freya
This was my choice if we were having a girl, athough DH hated it (he wouldn't have had a say, he picked my first 2!).
But you can use it, we're not needing it anymore

I love it - it's a gorgeous name!!

Reminds me of the character in The Year My Voice Broke - one of my favourite films of all time.

I don't mind it, always reminds of something that's frayed though.

Thanks everyone
Over the past 24 hours, this name seems to have hit number 1 on our list...even DH seems to have taken a shine to it, woohoo!
It is quite exciting to have actually found a name that we both seem to like after all the names we decided we didn't like. HOpefully this name will stick, but the more I say it and refer to the baby as Freya, the more it seems to fit.
Thanks for your feedback, look forward to reading some more!

It was number 2 on my girls name list in 2003! As you can see I didn't need it! But I absolutely love it -very pretty and different too! Good luck and lovely if we have another Freya in the world

I don't love the name Freya, I don't dislike it either. I think it's a name that would grow on me, as it did you.
It's wonderful that you and your DH are agreeing on a name, that's half the battle, lol.
Take care, Jodes XOXOX

Just an update
DH and I have agreed that this is the name for us (although who knows what can happen when bubs arrives)!
We are just trying to come up with a middle name now and the choices are:
Freya Jane/Jayne
Freya Mae
Nothing else seems to fit with the name that we like. Anyway, if you have any suggestions on the mn feel free to share, I love reading your replies!!!
