I just wanted to share this good news story.
A couple of days before christmas last year our computer crashed, lost everything all our business stuff and ALL our photos needless to say I was a bit upset about losing such irreplaceable memories (still am) we had nothing backed up. We now do...Fast forward to this afternoon, just chill'n with the kids baking cakes, playing games etc, the phone rings its a lady from the local (large corporation) supermarket. Two years (2006) ago I put a film in to get developed before we got a digital camera completely forgot about. The lady says that she was cleaning out the photo box and thought she would try and call to see if I still lived here. I'm so excited to see what the photos are, the cake just can't cook quick enough.
Just wanted to share its so nice to see that although a big company may not care some of the people that work there do.

WE almost lost everything on our computer a few years ago, my husband managed to salvage the photos on disc. I hadn't put them on our newer computer yet, the other night I put a disc in to look at the photos and it somehow wiped all of my pics from when our twins were 9 months till almost 3 years cry1.gif

Your story is lovely wub.gif

We suffered a small disk crash a few years ago and lost our twins early photos - so all of Tainn. We recovered some from emails we had sent, and from family etc, but there were still some memories missing. Have been backing up at least photos since but hadn't since christmas.

Fast forward to 2 weeks ago when we had a major crash (couldn't even boot), so spent a small fortune on disk recovery software (didn't trust the repair guys to try hard enough), and managed to recover not only our recent losses but some from the first crash too!

This time learnt that it's important to backup email folders and documents too!
