I feel like a terrible mother and a horrible person.

I have an 18 week old DS who has been really sick with a cold and ear infection all week and my DD (27 months) has been pretty much deprived of my undivided attention all week.

This morning my DS was really unsettled after an awful night in pain and my daughter came to me for a cuddle and i told her to go away because I was trying to settle my son.

She's now at childcare and i feel awful. I want to tell her I'm sorry but she's too little to understand and she probably thinks i don't love her. She looked so hurt when i told her to go away.

I'm soo tired and teary and i just feel awful.

Just wanted to get it out of my system.

bbighug.gif Oh sweetie, try not to be too hard on yourself, we all have moments like that unfortunately blush.gif

I can assure you your daughter will be so happy to see you this afternoon when you pick her up, she will have forgotten about what you said (trust me it's happened to me before closedeyes.gif ) But I know how hard it is when you give yourself the guilt trip, it ends up eating away making you feel horrible when it's more than likely your daughter will have completely forgotten about it.

But no matter what, you are your daughters mummy & at the end of the day that's all that matters ~ so give her a big hug tonight wub.gif

Ditto onepinkoneblue . We have all had moments like this. Its such a hard job being a parent. Luckily they do forget really quickly - usually we are the ones that hurt more.

Im sure that from how upset you are about it you are a wonderful parent 99% of the time and she feels secure and loved as a result original.gif
