We are planning a holiday to Townsville in about 4 weeks. We are wanting to visit a few of the popular tourist attractions eg Seaworld, Movieworld, Australia Zoo, etc.
Does anyone know where I can get discount vouchers for any of these places or others I have forgotten???
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Know any good/exciting kids games for the car trip.

If you're an NRMA member, you can get tickets to the theme parks a bit cheaper than at the door, you can either go into a branch or online.
Another thing you can do is look up on the web, the attractions you're interested in, because quite often they offer a discount for internet shopers or you can get a voucher that entitles to certain discounts.
Last year we went to qld for our holiday, and we got tickets to dreamworld on line, also to currumbin bird sanctuary and both were cheaper and we printed a voucher from underwater world at Maloolaba, which gives you 10% of entry prices. It may not sound like much but every bit helps.
As for kids games, books, toys, wiggles music!
We've just came back from qld on the weekend, and the one thing that kept my kids amused was the freebie dvd player that came with our new car, also magnaboards are good for travelling.
Mariamum,
Thanks for the tips. Will check out online. We have the DVD ready and tested on a recent trip down the coast. It worked really well. We have modified some earphones for it so we don't have to listen too. DD#2 love the pictures too.

Discount tickets to Dreamworld, Seaworld, Movieworld and
Wet n' Wild are also available in the Canberra Entertainment
Book if you have one. I am not sure if the discount is as good
as NRMA. Let me know if you want the details.

Im not sure if your little one is old enough but what about eye spy? Or counting how many red cars they can see etc....
Good luck with your trip, we have driven to the gold coast a couple of times and its a very long drive, But stopping somewhere like POrt Macquarie over night makes the trip a little easier.

Just thought I would let you know that Australia Zoo isn't expensive to get into.
Adults $34
kids over 3 $24
Kids under 3 are free.
Monique loved the Australia Zoo and I am thinking about taking her when we go home on the 31st August.
Tinka / Alex: Can you please give me details about where to get the entertainment book. Unless anyone has a spare voucher they won't use.
Mel: Thanks for the price for Aussie Zoo, it's not too bad is it.
