Hey All,

I havent posted anythign in ages. Hope everyone is well.

I dont have much longer to go.... impatiently waiting for something to happen so we can finally head off to the hospital.

I am suffering terribly with reflux at the moment (I guess the 3am throwing up is getting me ready for night feeds?)and my hands and feet have swollen so much that I can't hold a pen and only have one pair of shoes (thongs) that fit! Not even my faithful crocs fit.

We are very ready for this baby to decide to arrive.....
MummaSgettie
I am about to go to bed but thought I would post first LOL. tongue.gif

Well we are having an ultrasound on Thursday morning to check our dates etc as my Dr is a little worried that I am so sick and wants to check for........twins. ohmy.gif The scary thing is that she may be right, I have never been this sick or as hormonally charged with my other pregnancies but then again I was considerably sicker with my boys than my girls so maybe it's just a super spewy pregnancy.

Anyway, I can feel my eyes trying to close so must be off to bed.

Will be back later to update and do personals (I know, I am terrible blush.gif ).

Hi..
Fianlly have my computer set up again.. Ywo weeks without the internet has driven me crazy..
NOt much going on for me just in the final count down,, Have finished work and am madly setting up the babies room.. I have to get DH to find the baby clothes in the roof this weekend, and start organising my hospital bag.. I want to be prepared this time.. original.gif

Sgettie
Hope your ultrasound goes well this morning..
MummaSgettie
Goodmorning mums and bumps,

Well had our ultrasound this morning and we are definitely only expecting one (phew!). My dates were a little off so we are a few days further than we thought but there doesn't seem to be any problems with BabySgettie to explain the severe m/s.

TBH I think I would have a been bit relieved if it were twins as at least then there would be a reason for being so sick. Oh well - I guess making such adorable babies will do that! tongue.gif

So, how is everyone coping with older sibling on holidays? My eldest three are so busy off playing with different friends all day that it hasn't really made any difference this holidays.

Belly rubs to all.

Hi All,

I thought I would jump on and say hi, and also bump us up the list a bit!

Hope everyone is well!. I have had a lazy day today. Swimming lessons for Miss 3 this morning, followed by lunch with some friends, then home in time for a nice big 2 hour nap biggrin.gif

kk1977: Hope things have settled down for you. Not long now! I agree, this reflux thing sucks! I was very pleased when I found that chewable quickeze come in berry flavour! biggrin.gif Good luck with everything!

MummaSgettie: Hope the morning sickness is slowing down for you.

Emishka: Whoo-hoo for finishing work! cclap.gif I finish in 3 weeks, and can't wait! I have started on the baby's room - it is looking a bit more like a nursery, but still some work to go! Sent DH up into the roof last weekend. He knows what we are having and I don't, so I guess he knows whether I have just washed a whole heap of pink clothes for nothing! laughing2.gif

Everyone Else: Wishing you all thebest. Hope everything is going well.

Me: Not much to tell from me. 9 weeks to go! I'm seeing the ob again on Monday. It always feels as though I've made progress when it's time for another ob appointment!

Well, time for me to go to bed.

Take care everyone,
Deanne.

Hi guys,

Hope you don't mind if I jump in here. I'm 14 weeks pregnant and will be having my baby at Calvary. My first appt with Dr Tam is this week - I'm hoping he is nice!!

Didn't quite believe I was really pregnant until the 12 week scan, but now my tummy is proving that I am!!

Peta

Welcome aboard Peta, and congratulations!

I am Deanne, and am 31 weeks pregnant with baby number 2, due 23 June. DD is 3 1/2. I will also be having my baby at Calvary.

Hope all goes well with Dr Tam, and with your pregnancy!

Cheers,
Deanne.

Hi girls,

I am still around just had a bit of craziness to deal with lately.

Peta - I am Lara, 18 weeks pregnant and I am having my baby calvary with Dr Foote. original.gif I have heard lovely, lovely things about Dr Tam.

KK1977 - I had reflux with my last pregnancy. I think it was worse then M/S.

I hope everybody else is well.

Hi Everyone original.gif

Peta - Hi and Congratulations on your pregnancy original.gif My name is Kelly and I am pregnant with baby #3 (due in approx 5 weeks smile1.gif ) and I am having my baby at TCH and going through the Canberra Midwifery Programme. Good luck with your Ob appointment.

Darnie - I love counting down to my midwife appointments too - makes me feel like I am getting closer each time!!

Sgettie - YAY for your ultrasound - so glad you got to see your bub original.gif I hope the morning sickness settles down soon for you. We are coping well with DD being on School holidays (it's our first ones!!) It's nice not to have to rush around in the mornings and I am enjoying her being at home.

emishka - Glad you have the internet back up and running!! I have also been busy setting up the babies room and I started packing my bag yesterday. I know I still have 5 weeks to go but just want to be prepared original.gif

KK1977 - hope the reflux has settled down for you and that you will be meeting your bub soon original.gif

Me - on the countdown (5 weeks to EDD) and feeling very excited tongue.gif Had a vomiting bug on Friday and couldnt' even hold down water so after a call to my Midwife I went to the delivery suite. I was very de-hydrated and having contractions ohmy.gif Once I'd had some IV fluids and maxalon the contractions stopped and I was feeling much better. They said it was probably a mix of the de-hydration and the vomiting that brought them on. Feeling much better now though original.gif Busy organising my bag and have started nesting (which is probably a good thing!!)

Hope everyone else is well original.gif

Hey girls!

I'm still here too - I can't believe that the little one will be arriving next month (hopefully!)! It makes it feel very close when you say it like that!

I have sort-of packed a hospital bag - the necessities are there, so that is all that matters really!

BBL,
Renee original.gif
emishka
I guess I should pack my hospital bag.. All the baby clothes are in the wash as we speak.. So that is a start. the cot and bassinet are now made up... I can't belive I am at 37 weeks already.. I had Caitlyn at 38 weeks, I think it is starting to sink in that I will be a mum of two shortly...

Kelly,
I am glad you are feeling better after that bug.. I am guessing it would have been a bot scary having contractions that early.. Here is to the next few weeks..

Peta
Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy.

Hi Renee
Not long now... I am with you on that whole having a baby next month..Seems very close now..

Hi to everyone else, hope all is going well..

Hi All,

Just popping in quickly while I am waiting for my mince to thaw. biggrin.gif

Well, I saw the ob today, and he has said that this baby is definitely coming out before he goes on leave (he goes on leave COB Friday 20 June; I am due Mon 23 June). I am quite pleased that I won't be going over my due date but hope that he doesn't decide that it needs to come out too early! So, it will definitely be less than 9 weeks before we meet our bubba! He has also ordered an ultrasound for next week, and wants to see me again in two weeks! It's all starting to feel real now! I'm looking forward to seeing the baby again on ultrasound!

Anyway, better go figure out what to do with this mince!

Take care everyone,
Deanne.
laraq75
Deanne - June babies are so lovely. My dd was due on the 23rd of June and she didn't come out until the 29th. So you are lucky you are going a bit earlier.

I can't wait until next week. I am having my 19 week ultrasound on Thursday. I am looking forward to seeing the baby after all this time.

hugs

Hi everyone!

Wow - Emma, only 2 weeks or so to go! Get that bag packed! tongue.gif

Lara - I'm with you on the loving winter babies! DD was born on 14th July, and it was a great time of year! I forgot if you have already mentioned it - are you finding out what you are having?

Deanne - I loved having a later U/S this time around (32 weeks) You are able to see so much more than at the 20 weeker!

Anyway, I better choof, as I'm at work blush.gif
Renee original.gif
*Caro*
Hello lovely ladies!

Good to hear everyone is going well biggrin.gif apart from some tummy bugs and severe morning sickness sad.gif Hope it eases soon for you, Sgettie.

We're choofing along nicely here, although desperately busy. My parents are staying at the moment, so Dad is doing lots of home handyman jobs and mum is cooking up a storm! Its so nice to come home from work to a home cooked meal. They leave on Sat and the girls and I will be devastated. DH might not mind so much! tongue.gif

I'm not so sure about winter babies... I had a late May baby, and a late Nov baby. I found a summer baby easier in that there were fewer clothes to change/wash all the time, and it wasn't so chilly in the middle of the night for all that feeding. But it was nice doing the snuggle at home thing with DH and a newborn when he had time off work and we had our little babymoon at home wub.gif

A friend of mine gave birth to her third yesterday, and so now I am getting really excited about meeting my bundle!!

Like Renee, I better get back to work now... unsure.gif

Thanks for making me welcome.

kk - sounds like you are well and truly ready for your baby. Any news?

Emma - 2 weeks to go, how exciting.

Mummasgettie - so was your scan about 7-8 weeks - where the baby looks like a little worm? (at least mine did)

Deanne - it will be great to see your baby again, my DH asked if we could have another u/s (we had one 2 weeks ago !) have you seen the little suits with all the quotes, there is one that says "as seen on ultrasound"

Lara
- might see you in the waiting rooms, as they work out of the same office don't they? I will let you know what Dr Tam is like as I see him tomorrow. Are you having your u/s in the rooms?

Caro - I'm with you I think on the winter babies, getting up in the cold in the middle of the night... would need pretty good heating.

Kelly - must have been scary, I didn't know dehydration could bring on contractions! Hope you are feeling better now

Renee - next month is very close, way closer than October, when work is just horrible and I wish I could go on maternity leave right now!!

Me - Dr Tam tomorrow so hopefully he can give me a due date instead of the three I currently have!!

Hiya all,

Thanks for all the well wishes guys! I am feeling heaps better lately, but then I have been taking Maxalon every 2nd/3rd day this last week.

My Dr. and I decided it was worth the eczema and as I have been losing an average of 3-4kgs a week the maxalon really was the best option. The great thing about it is that I haven't had any reaction at all.

We have the 12wk ultrasound in 2 weeks and I'm sure it blow me away again. Somehow even though this is baby #5 I still get shocked at how quickly they grow.

We have also gotten the all clear for the Birth Centre which is a great weight off my mind (not trying to cause cr%p here, I just can't stand the closer hospital tongue.gif ), we should be seeing them in another 7-8 weeks.

Sot - I was actually 9wks3days and was totally blown away at how clear it was. Little legs and arms flailing all over the place and that amazing heartbeat that still makes me cry.

Wow some of us are getting very close to "popping" date. biggrin.gif If anyone needs a house to nest in......... tongue.gif .

Belly rubs to all!

Hi original.gif

Just a quick one but with all the talk before on Winter babies I just had to pop in and say how excited I am to be having this baby in Winter - nothing like a newborn all rugged up in a bonds wondersuite wub.gif I am really looking forward to my sizing scan (36 weeks) next wednesday. I haven't had a ultrasound this late into the pregnancy before so can't wait to see baby.

Sgettie - congrats on getting into the Birth Centre original.gif I am so glad I got in again for this baby - the midwifes are wonderful!

Off to bed for me original.gif Hope everyone is well.

Hi All,

Wow, there's been a fair bit of activity since I jumped on last night! biggrin.gif

laraq: DD was a September baby. I liked that because I wasn't uncomfortably pregnant in the heat of summer and also getting up in the middle of the night wasn't too cold. (Downside was that the hospital was very busy! laughing2.gif ) This time around, I was fairly uncomfortable during summer. Also, I am currently managing DH's expectations about the gas bill because if I am getting up in the middle of the night, it's gonna be warm! laughing2.gif Yes, I think I am happy for it to come earlier. DD was 3 weeks early due to pre-eclampsia, so even going to term this time would probably feel like forever! I am currently on blood pressure tablets, and am also on insulin for gestational diabetes, so that is why he is getting it out before he goes on holidays.

Renee: I was admitted to hospital at 36 weeks with DD and had an ultrasound while I was there. You're right, it was awesome! We even saw the hair on her head! Amazing! I don't know how many more ultrasounds I am having, although he did promise a couple. It will be great to see the baby again.

Caro: I think I need your parents to come and stay at my house! laughing2.gif So many things I could get them to do! laughing2.gif I have had a few work colleagues have babies recently (something in the water at our work, I think biggrin.gif ) and like you, it is making me very excited about meeting my baby.

Peta: No, I haven't seen the suits with the quotes. How cute! wub.gif

MummaSgettie: Good to hear that you are feeling better and that the maxalon is doing the trick! Oh how exciting - the 12 week ultrasound! wub.gif

Savvy: Hope the sizing scan goes well! It's so cool having an ultrasound late in the pregnancy! wub.gif

Me: Not much to tell. Seeing the endocrinologist on Thursday, which will be good because even though I am on insulin for the gestational diabgetes, I am still struggling a bit with my morning blood sugar levels. At least she can put me on the straight and narrow! The baby is moving a fair bit, and the last couple of days I have felt quite uncomfortable with backache and also the same achy feeling that I normally get at period time. Very much looking forward to mat leave and some sleeping time!

I was quite proud of myself tonight - the very undomesticated Deanne managed not only to cook dinner but to also make a very big, yummy pot of thick vegie soup! Yum! Not quite as good as Mum's but pretty damn fine, let me tell you! grin.gif

Well, I should go.

Take care everyone,
Deanne.
darnie
Just bumping us up a bit.

Hope everyone is well!

Cheers,

Deanne - How did you go with the endocrinologist? Hope everything is well. I made pumpkin soup the other day - I think homemade soup is just perfect at the moment.

I saw Dr Tam everything going fine, went with the IVF due date of 17 October, and got to hear the heartbeat - it is so comforting.

Have a good long weekednd everyone.

Hi everyone, I'm hoping I can join you original.gif.

I'm Anne, I have a daughter Claire who is two and a half next month, and I am 14 weeks pregnant with #2, due on the 23rd of October.

Dr D is my OB, and this is my first baby here in the ACT (Claire was born in Perth). I'm aiming for a VBAC.

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!
sot
Hi Anne, we are close in dates. what is a VBAC?

Peta
Barky
Sorry for crashing this thread but I just wanted to say a big congrats to Anne. wub.gif You sneaky thing you..
darnie
Hi Again,

Peta: Thanks for asking. It all went fine with the endocrinoligist. Very quick visit - hardly had time to put my bottom on the seat! laughing2.gif She increased my night time dosage, which is good. I thought she'd either do that or tell me to inject another needle. Kind of glad that it wasn't another needle laughing2.gif My levels this morning weren't too bad so I guess I'll just see. Seeing her again in 2 weeks, but she said to call this week if my levels don't play the game.

QUOTE
I made pumpkin soup the other day - I think homemade soup is just perfect at the moment.
I LOVE home made soup! I am not very good at making pumpkin soup, although I enjoy eating it! The only recipe I can get to work is a curried pumpkin soup recipe - otherwise mine always tastes like watery mashed pumpkn! sad.gif I've got a recipe for chickpea and garlic soup which I think might get a workout soon.

Anne: Congratulations and welcome! I am Deanne. My daughter Erin will be 4 in September, and number 2 is due around 23 June but will be here before that, according to my ob. Are you having your baby at Calvary?

I am having fun cleaning out the nursery today. I cleaned it a couple of weeks ago but then I cleaned out the wardrobe so the room was trashed again cry1.gif Also need to go and pick up our baby stuff wub.gif from Baby Wombats and buy Miss Erin a ballet uniform since she is starting ballet next weekend. I have had a domesticated morning - cooked pikelets for morning tea! Up until that point, I am pretty sure that Erin thought that pikelets came in a bag from the bread section of Woolworths! blush.gif I'm not sure whether this is nesting or what it is but I had better go and make the most of it while it is still happening - I'll be needing a sleep any minute! laughing2.gif

Have a great long weekend everyone!

Take care,
Deanne.
Puggle
Thanks Eileen original.gif.

Hi Peta, a VBAC is a Vaginal Birth After Caesarean.

Hi Deanne, yes I will be at Calvary. I live in Kambah, so I am relieved that the Glenloch interchange is finished. I had visions of being stuck at the lights while in labour laughing2.gif.

I have a question actually. Does anyone know if my OB's office will arrange for my hospital booking at Calvary? This is the way it worked in Perth (well, my OB's office gave me the forms at about half way through my pregnancy and I had to ring the hospital for an appointment) but I have read on EB of people having to book into the hospital independently and I wondered if that was the case here in the ACT?

Thanks,
*Caro*
Hi Anne - I see Dr D too, and he arranges the booking with Calvary for you. Calvary then send some further paperwork to your house, and you have to make an appointment to see the midwives at about 27 weeks.

My mum and I made pumpkin soup today! original.gif

Deanne, I must have missed something along the way. I thought you didn't have GD - but now I see talk of endocrinologists and injections unsure.gif Hope its all ok... You do sound like you have gotten into nesting in a BIG way! Feel free to come over and sort out cupboards and clean at my house laughing2.gif

I have had TWO naps today! I fell asleep for the first time on the couch at 9am, for about 40 mins, and then again after lunch wacko.gif Thank goodness mum and dad are here to watch the kids for me.

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. We are off to test drive a Kia Grand Carnival tomorrow, should be a hoot laugh.gif

Edited coz I can't type!!

Thanks *Caro* original.gif. I think you are in the same EB Parents Group as my friend Helen?

Hi Again Everyone,

Oh dear, I was planning an early night, sat down to quickly catch up on EB and phone rang - 3 hours ago - and just got off! It was a really great friend who, when we get on the phone together, time just flies!

Anyway...

Hehehe. Good point! Although, have you seen the Gungahlin Drive Extension in peak hour? sad.gif You'd be going against the traffic though, so it would be all just peachy - a quick trip.

Deanne, I must have missed something along the way. I thought you didn't have GD - but now I see talk of endocrinologists and injections Hope its all ok...

I failed the GTT, was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and had to go to the diabetes educator/dietician. Anyway, had a week of trying to manage it with diet, but could not get my morning Blood Sugar Levels right. So, after the week, the diabetes educator sent me to the endocrinologist, who put me on insulin. I have been on it for a week now. Saw the endo again yesterday and she increased my night time dose. Should be ok, though. Mainly means that I will be induced before my due date. Oh and, about the cleaning - I seem to be doing heaps of cleaning but getting nowhere fast! Every time I clean up one mess, I create another!! Can't wait until mat leave so I can get stuck into it all!! I need to sort through Erin's toys, which will probably be easier if she isn't around! And I might buy a proper toy box to put them in, which will be easier if DH isn't around! dev (6).gif

Well, I should go.

Take care,
Deanne.

Hi original.gif

Welcome Cyndii and Congratulations original.gif I remember you from when you posted in the ACT younger Mums thread for a little while - great to see you back original.gif

Darnie - I've been doing heaps of tidying and cleaning as well but being school holidays and with 2 kids running around it seems to get dis-organised again very quickly wacko.gif I have been doing heaps of de-cluttering and sorting which is good and everything is organised for baby.

Caro - yum, I love pumpkin soup! I'm making Chicken and Sweet Corn tonight so looking forward to it with some yummy crunchy bread. I've been having lots of sleep ins and naps too, better to have them and catch up while we can wink.gif

Puggle - Welcome and Congratulations as well original.gif I am almost 36 weeks pregnant with #3, I have a DD who is 5.5 and a DS who is 2.

Me - I went to Matchox 20 concert on Friday night and it was awesome!! Rob Thomas is even better in real life laughing2.gif I have been getting lots of little Braxton Hicks and I can feel baby very low - it's starting to hurt to walk or roll over in bed - I am hoping it means that I will go early or on time and not 10 days over like with DS. Just can't wait to meet our little wub.gif and I'm almost on the 4 week countdown!!

Hi to everyone else original.gif

Kelly
DH Chris
MummaSgettie
Hello mums and bumps,

Kelly - wow, it sounds like you may not be very far off from meeting your little one now. Sounds like you need a good rest after all that nesting (I know sill thing to say when you already have kidlets to run around after). smile1.gif

Cyndii - hello stranger! I haven't seen you here in ages.

Deanne - I hope you are keeping well with the GD. Does it effect your diet at all? Sorry I am almost completely ignorant re. GD.

Puggle - welcome! I am 11 weeks PG with #5 and plan on having him/her at the Birth Centre at TCH.

Caro - gotta love those nanna naps, unfortunately mine seem to last all day. blush.gif

Me - well we are cruising along nicely now that I have my friend Maxalon. I am so tired though, I'm sure I wasn't anywhere near this tired with the others.

Belly rubs to all.
*Caro*
Anne, yes, there is a Helen in my Parents group. Are you a quilter by any chance? The girls in our group are always teasing Helen about spending more time with the quilters than with us! tongue.gif

Deanne, thanks for explaining about the GD. I guess the only good thing is that with being induced early, you haven't got too long to go re injecting yourself. How do you find it? I know some people have no probs; I'm not sure i'd be so relaxed blush.gif rolleyes.gif

Kelly, I can't believe you are on the 4 week countdown! How exciting!! Drop zone biggrin.gif

The test drive of the Kia went well, so we think we'll be getting one. Its not the sexiest of cars, but at least its practical for 3 kidlets.

I think its going to be early to bed tonight. My eyes are falling out of my head already... yyawn.gif
darnie
Hi Everyone!

I am procrastinating - I have an assignment which I have to get done tonight so that I can express post it to Qld tomorrow because it needs to be there before my course expires on Thursday! Anyway, I've got to a yucky part so needed some EB time. (Exactly how am I meant to write a 200-800 page word short story that describes the phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover" huh.gif )

Anyway, over to personals...

Cyndii: Welcome & congratulations! That's awesome!

Savvy: Yep, that's how I feel about the cleaning, except I have 1 child and a husband instead of 2 children! laughing2.gif Having said that, I have got a fair bit done today - a laundry that sparkles and a spare room that now looks very much like a nursery, with the cot made and all wub.gif. DH has also done some great work with our study. The cleaner is going to die of shock when she realises on Wednesday that she can actually get into the study to vaccum it! laughing2.gif The Matchbox 20 concert would have been awesome! Glad you had a great time. Hope the BH have settled a bit.

Mummasgettie: Glad to hear that Maxalon is being a good friend to you. It must make things much easier. My theory - based on two pregnancies - is that you get more tired with each one because you have more people to chase around after. I've been really tired with this pregnancy - this last couple of weeks is the best I've felt for ages. And if I don't get my afternoon nap of a weekend well, let's jsut say that it ends badly for everyone! laughing2.gif Oh, and with the GD - I have to count carbs and basically be careful. For the first week or so I had to keep a food diary so I now have a pretty good idea as to what sends my Blood Sugar Levels (BSLs) up. Things made of white flour - like muffins, cake, etc - are all bad.

Caro: Glad to hear that the Kia Test Drive went well. Injecting myself isn't worrying me. The first needle was a bit tricky - got the needle within an inch of my belly and froze, but the diabetes lady cajoled me until it went in! Most of the time, I don't even feel it. In fact, the finger pricking is worse. cry1.gif

Well, I should go and figure out how to write my short story.

Take care everyone and have a great week!

Cheers,
Deanne.

Edited because in my pregnant brain state, I couldn't figure out the difference between a page and a word.
madkat
Just to let you know I'm still around. Having been lurking heaps, but just never get around to posting.

I'm 26 weeks on Tuesday and have been feeling really mummy tired (rather than pregnancy tired). All the scans have come back fairly positive and it looks like we're having another girl original.gif Braxton Hicks have started (never really had them in the first 2 pregnancies), usually at 4am when it wakes me up. Fortunately my breathing techniques help me get back to sleep quickly.

Have decided to use cloth for #3, so am transitioning on DS. Gee modern cloth nappies are cute!

Will try to get on the board more frequently.

Ooh Deanne, I hope you mean words not pages or you won't be getting much sleep! First thing I thought of was getting a 'Recipe Book' handed down the generations to you only to find it wasn't full of family recipes, but torrid love letters your Great-Grandma wrote laughing2.gif.

Congratulations Cyndii!

Caro, I'm a 'wannabe' quilter. Helen's work is just lovely, I am a regular reader of her blog.
AmIdoingitright?
Ladies can I please join? I got my BFP today after a m/c last month, so I'm pretty nervous about this one sticking. I'm new to Canberra (who isn't!) so it'll be nice to have some ladies to "chat" to.
Puggle
Oh congratulations canberra-ite! It seems very surreal at first, doesn't it? Hoping this one is a sticky one for you.

I'm fairly new to the ACT myself (originally from Sydney but have had two stints in Perth and one in Melbourne)
darnie
Canberra-ite: Welcome! Congratulations on the BFP! Hope it goes well! hands.gif hands.gif I am Deanne, and I am 32 weeks pregnant with baby number 2 - due 23 June. I have a DD who will be 4 in September. We have been in Canberra for 14 years, originally from Tasmania.

madkat: Hi! Good to see you again. Glad to hear that things are going well. I hope the BH calm down, although it is good that you have worked out a way of getting to sleep quickly. I also hope that the tiredness settles down.

Puggle: laughing2.gif I am such a ditz! Yep, I meant words, not pages. But words felt as bad as pages when I first looked at it tonight! laughing2.gif I now have completed the assignment, all ready to be sent off tomorrow! ddance.gif ddance.gif I liked your idea. Much more imaginative than mine. I wasn't sure whether to make it literal, or just kind of imply the message. In the end, I went for an implied message, where Josie thought the old lady down the road looked ugly and evil but when a bicycle crashed into Josie in front of the old lady's house, the old lady came to her aid and was just wonderful. I think it got the point across in the end - albeit lamely. I hope it got the point across, anyway. huh.gif And I have now finished the course - yay!! It is a Writing for Children Course. I am just about to start a second one.

Well, better go as it is quite late.

Take care everyone!

Canberra-ite - welcome. I was looking in the 2ww and saw you got a BFP that is great news.

My name is lara and I am 19 weeks tomorrow.

Madkat - we were both in the same DIG with our June babies. Nice to see you around.

I was so busy on the weekend I had a good friend over and we had a blast. I actually met her through EB and she used to be in Canberra but she has moved to newcastle.

hugs to all

Well if nothing happens between now and then I am booked in for a 2nd CS on the 9th May.. I guess it is good to have a date now.. I am still hoping for a VBAC but I guess the hope is slowly dying... ( She doesn't want me to go over and I can't be induced - oh well)..

So many babies in Canberra - I wonder if it's something in the water laughing2.gif . Feeling a little more confident today - got a much darker pink line on my preg test. I go to the doctor tomorrow and I'm going to ask for a blood test to check my HCG levels and if that comes back ok I'm going to order myself to calm down and stop worrying!

Can any of you ladies recommend a good gyno/obstretrician in Canberra? I saw Dr Mutton to get my Mirena out last year and he was just lovely, but it doesn't sound like he takes on many "normal" cases, mainly just the people he assists to get pregnant.

Canberra-ite - I go to Dr Foote but I know lots of people don't like him. I used him for my DD and he was fantastic when it came down to the delivery. I have heard Dr Heir and Dr Dreher are wonderful and I have also heard good things about Dr Tam. I suppose it is just personal preference in the end.

Emishka - fingers crossed for that VBAC. Hopefully it will happen for you.

canberra-ite, I am seeing Dr Dreher. I saw him for a pre-conception appointment to see what he was like and he is wonderful. Only thing is, if you go with him you might have a wait for your first appointment, mine is at 17 weeks. I've heard from other EBers that he will see you before that time if any complications arise.

emishka, have you considered things like accupuncture and professional naturopathic assistance to encourage labour?

madkat, somehow I missed your post before but we use MCN too. I've never really got involved in the 'fashion' side of it but that doesn't stop me admiring them wink.gif.

Hi there,
I too am seeing Dr Foote, some friends told me that some people don't like him, but i have never actually meet anyone who doesn't like him nor heard the reasons why!

We saw him for DD and found him to be fabulous. A friend saw him for her three as well and even though sadly one was stillborn, she returned to him for #3 as she said he was fabulous for that birth as well.

I am trying to get as much rest in as possible, but I am at the uncomfortable stage, and chasing after DD is getting harder and harder.

I see Dr Foote again today, so hopefully not too much longer! I was due yesterday!

I have been lurking in this thread and am pleased to see that more people are joining and being active here! I wish you all the very best for the rest of your pregnancies!

Cheers

Canberra-ite - I am seeing Dr Huda Younis at Deakin. She is wonderful. Very reassuring and approachable.
