I know that theres one doing the rounds atm (isn't there always *sigh*) and that a few people, or at least their families, on here recently had it just wondering if more than one person in your family was effected by it how long did it take for them to catch it from the original person who had it in your family??

Basically Quinn got up this morning at 12.45 and was as sick as a dog, then the typical every hour there after until 7.00am! I am pretty sure its something that he brought home with him! No one else here is showing any signs of it but I am wondering how long we have until we are "out the woods" so to speak! I am sure I was told 24hrs once but then seem to remember 36hrs was also
possible! unsure.gif

We are mean't to be leaving for Brisbane, first thing Monday morning, driving, and I am scared to death that half way up its going to rear its head again and knock one of us down with it, while on the road!!

Hi there! My DS2 had it overnight too....just lasted til about mid morning so maybe between 12 and 18 hours in total.

He ate and drank normally tonight for dinner.

No one else has got it so far.

HTH and that you get to Brissie without it!

I thought 3 days was the usual incubation period.. give or take a day either side. My DH got it on Easter Sunday, but both me and Ruby managed to avoid it. I think I had some immunity after having a nasty gastro bug in February, and for Ruby, i'm putting it down to the rotavirus vaccine.. already sooo glad she's immunised!

Hi - I had it last week, it was awful. Neither DH or DS got it though, which was surprising. The worst of it lasted one day and I was a bit queasy for about 2 days after. I heard other people at my work had it too - I thought it must have been our work cafeteria, but maybe not. Good luck.

We haven't had it, but I just wanted to say I hope your trip goes really well. original.gif Have you got lots of toys and games and food packed?

I hope Quinn is feeling better and that nobody else gets sick.

Take care.

DS(2)woke me up yesterday with it all through his cot..had it untill 1 ish also. Just waiting for the rest of us to get it. So far in the last month and half all the kids have had chicken pox.. DH had shingles..1 in hossy with pneumonia..and me with pneumonia..seems like its never ending. Fingers crossed for you and have a fab holiday original.gif

We had it here as well.
Neeky threw up and i didnt even know till morning. She then got the runs but that was it.
Then the other 3 got queasy and the 2 boys got the runs. Amanda escaped just feeling crappy.
But the worst was Brett who came down like a tonne of bricks in a short time. He ate dinner and 2 hours later told me he had the runs and went to bed early. 3 hours later he threw up and was only sick the once but was really groggy all the next day.

I hope it stays away from the rest of the kids and hope you have a great time away.

DS had the runs after childcare on Friday and still has them now sick.gif . He also vomited this morning.

I woke up with same symptoms at 4am Sat morning, could barely move out of bed for most of the day and am feeling slightly better now.

DD vomited yesterday morning and has had stomach cramps but is generally happy.

DH seems to have the same as me about 30 hours later.

I'm not sure if this answers your questions - feeling too sick to read the OP again, sorry. sad.gif

PS. I would take Hydralyte (sp?) for the trip.
