Both names are ok but I'm not overly fussed on either. From those two I prefer Xavier Jude. Spencer Jude would be a nice combo also.
I am not a real fan of Xavier or Max.

I lurve Xavier!! I wanted it for our boy but DH wont let me. 
Love Max, love Jude, Xavier is okay if pronounced with a Z and I don't like Spencer.
I'm going to go against the trend and say that Spencer is one of the few surnamey names I (maybe cos I knew a lovely guy with that name).
Xavier, Jude & Max don't really float my boat, but I think Spencer Jude flows better than Spencer Max.
