Hi,

I was thinking about using an alias before posting this but then thought,,, ahhh stuff it. Why hide my problems?

Can anyone recommend a marriage counsellor and someone who can help with a gambling problem? I need help for DH.

I don't have any specific recommendations, but for the gambling issue you might like to give Lifeline a call. They actually have a specific gambling service and provide training for all staff in gambling establishments about problem gambling. One of my friends works for them doing the training. Here is the link for info http://www.act.lifeline.org.au/index_gc.html. Free counselling is available at their office in Civic.

I bet the two problems you mentioned are very much related. If you think your DH has a gambling problem but he doesn't (I'm only guessing here), the ppl at Lifeline might have some good ideas about how best to approach the issue with him.

Good luck!

Hi Goonie,

I can also recommend Relationships Australia. I went there last year and the person I saw made me feel really comfortable and had some good ideas. Sorry i can't remember there name. For the first appointment I went by myself and DH came along to the next one.

Hope this helps.

Take care,
Larissa
