we are LIVID.

our contracts (to sell AND buy) were due to exchange last monday.

because of our buyer's solicitor it could be 'tomorrow, maybe thursday' which means that we are expecting a call any minutes, saying we have lost the house we hoped to buy sad.gif

so if anyone's looking for a solicitor or building inspector and wants to know who NOT to use please just pm me....

FURIOUS

OH Karen that just suxs! I'm sorry to hear that things haven't improved any for you. You must be stressed out or p*ss*d off or both

Is there anything you can do to stall your side of things? I don't know much about buying houses as we bought privately and it was on a really flexible time frame. I hope it all works out soon!

to be honest susana, i don't blame the people selling to us if they decide enough is enough and pull out (though we will be devestated). this guy is just jerking us around because he thinks he's wayyyyyyyyy more important than the rest of the world. the people we are buying from are building, so they need as much time as possible.

he actually told our solicitors that the urgency was our problem, not his - even though it's because of him (and the building inspectors who didn't follow up on something they should have) that we have a delay.
